The Catch Fish N' Chips: The Hidden Chippy Of Chiswick

Generous portions, freshly made and friendly staff. This isn’t a typical chippy, it’s located at the back of Rice (with the same family running it), the place is clean and food isn’t as greasy as you find in some places. You should make sure to include their mushy peas in your order, and you can also get a grilled fish for a slightly healthier take.

I know of just 2 chippys in Chiswick, the other being awful now, so have been riding up to Acton for acceptable scoff, though they often run out of fish by 7:00pm. Went to the Catch when it first opened 5-6 years ago and never went back as so expensive and tiny fish. Out of desperation tried again tonight and had to get straight on this to praise them (I'm quick to complain too). Large cod £6-20 which seems fine these days. They cooked my chips extra brown on request, though will ask for more cooking next time, at least they tried. Gherkins are massive, ketchup is Heinz and in large effective bulbs that hit the chips not your palms. They were friendly and helpful enough and take visa unlike their rubbish competitors. Happy again as the chip shop situation has left a rather large hole in my otherwise terribly sad life!!!
