Mala Indian Brasserie

Wow, delicious food beautifully presented! Lovely service from charming staff. It was quiet, we went early on a Sunday, but the dining room is elegant yet comfortable and tranquil, and has a lovely vibe. We were offered a cocktail, quite fabulous and a wonderful complement to our meal. We shall return!

Mala was excellent. The menu is interesting whilst retaining some classics. The food was freshly served and the flavours were very well balanced. I like the use of whole spices and the Naan bread in particular was perfect. A contemporary decor help creates a nice atmosphere and we really appreciated the laid back and friendly service. We are looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Mala Indian Brasserie has become our top choice for Indian takeaway. The food is delicious. Just one significant complaint: The paper takeaway containers with foil lids chosen by the restaurant fail to contain the food during delivery virtually every time we've ordered. Open up the brown bag...smells great...oh, man, Masala sauce everywhere! We love this place but might have to revert back to the less tasty Indian restaurant down the street that uses plastic takeaway containers...

Lovely restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, very prompt to come out of the kitchen after ordering and the service was attentive and efficient. Both servers were very friendly and made sure our table was wiped down between courses, checked for drinks top ups etc. Sonya, one of our servers, was delightful. We are local and will definitely visit again!

We had a small Wedding reception at Mala and we were completely blown away by the incredible food, the service and we need to give a special mention to the Owner who went completely above and beyond for us. She gave us some amazing ideas to make our special day even more special and managed the day so well, making sure our guests were happy and ensuring that everything was running smoothly. Our guests called us after to say how great the food was and it all really was! We had quite a few food tasting sessions but after the first one, we already knew we were on to something special! We cannot thank the team at Mala enough, you made our day and we'll be back over and over again!

I think this restaurant is understaffed. Note to the owner, please higher more staff and stop stretching your waiters to their limits. Flavoursome food, though the portion sizes for the currys are quite small for the higher than usual prices. The keema naan had an ok amount of meat and flavour inside, that's the main highlight compared to other Indian restaurants. I wouldn't deter someone from visiting this restaurant if they are local, but I wouldn't travel far to dine here.
