Ladies and Gentlemen your search is over...this is the best Fish and Chips in London! Firstly, the food is cooked to perfection with the Fish prefectly fried and the chunky chips are the best I can remember having. Not only that, the restaurant is lovelingly maintained, in a charming spot and the owners are nice and friendly in a proper old school London way. And did I mention it is also a BYOB with all the glasses there if you fancy a tipple with your meal. Result! Honestly, forget some of the rare negative reviews on here, one is for the wrong plaice (see what I did there...) and the other is about an unperfect booking experience. I mean, even if it did happen, who books a fish and chip gaff where the the two owners are working hard behind the fryer and till dealing also with walk ins and expects the white cloth treatment. So there you go, the secrets out, this is the best chippy in town. PS - if the owners read this, your guacamole is lovely too ;-)

The chips here are amazing, the nicest chips I've had in a very long time...they look hand cut, cooked in fresh oil, delicious. I was a little disappointed by the vegan tofu'ish - it looked great and the batter was lovely, however the tofu inside was not seasoned...it felt and tasted rather like a block of bland tofu - I struggled to finish it. The seaweed on top was a nice touch but did not add much flavour. If more could be done to improve the texture (to make it flaky) and flavour (perhaps marinate it) of the tofu'ish this could be an amazing dish!

The chips here are sooooo delicious. Probably the best Ive had in London. I tried the chicken burger for the first time and it was better than expected, a really juicy and tasty fillet. I'll definitely order it again. The battered sausage is always tasty, crispy batter. No other chip shop has ever provided this quality. My favourite place for chips. I'm keen to try other things from the menu now that i know how good the chicken burger is.
