Can't wait to have a repeat visit, atmosphere and food was absolutely fantastic all topped off by the wonderful waiter were had, Ata! Very pleased to see a fantastic improvement in the stag and hounds today. Its been a while since I last visited Everything we ordered was available and tasted great. Even my fussy daughter ate everything The staff were friendly, helpful and the service was fast and efficient. The tables and menus were clean and tidy. Lots of books to read - a take a book or leave a book Paper and pencils for children and a box with board games and childrens reading books. Karaoke nights Live music 80s night A piano A record player with vinyls that if you are respectful you can play. Incredible transformation. Below is my last review in (early2023) Sadly a decline in this place over the years Regularly running put of food, closing the kitchen early and cancelling bookings. Very disappointing for a place I have visited for many many years This visit the menus have changed to printed out A4 laminated paper that felt dirty and sticky. The same with the tables. Nachos were overcooked, rump steak was cold in the centre. However the Breaded mushrooms, Burgers and hunters chicken were all very good. The toilets are clean and tidy The place its self was not looking good

We made a last minute online booking for 12 people to entertain some relatives from the USA. I received a courtesy call plus an email acknowledgment for the booking. The food was easy to order and was delicious, the variety of drinks fairly extensive and fairly reasonably priced. We had a lovely area to ourselves and had such an enjoyable evening! Special mention to Naomi Campbell and J for their fantastic service! Our cousins were impressed! We’ll be back!!

We had a family meet-up at The Stag and Hounds. It was amazing. They put on a buffet that accommodated various dietary requirements. The atmosphere there is super and the staff attentive without being intrusive. There is a good outside space so the kids could run around. The staff even laid out a track of arrows for the kids to run around - over and above! Food was excellent and the family are all buzzing about the venue!
