Had a family celebration at the George for my parents 65th wedding anniversary at the beginning of September. From the personal message on the lighbox as we came in to the amazing food Karen and her team went out of their way to make the celebration a memorable event for my parents. The George is clean , comfortable and quirky...each time I go in I see something different. More local people should be supporting the pubs business...it is friendly , clean, homely and compared to other pubs reasonably priced. Thanks and well done Karen, Kathy , Alan and your team.

Had a 60th birthday here last night.
Everything from the decorations, food and service was fantastic.
Everyone had a wonderful time and kept saying how wonderful the food was. The mini cheeseburgers were amazing!
We had the hot & cold buffet..
Thank you Karen, Kathy and the rest of the staff.
Will definitely return here

This has got to be the cleanest pub I have ever been to in my life! The toilets were spotless. The food was absolutely delicious, I really recommend this place for a bite to eat, the chef is very talented. The photos don't do it any justice.

We had a pint as passing by on late Sunday evening. The place has nice vibes, was a bit quiet but we enjoyed our time. Would come back again.

Went on the 2nd April for my Mothers birthday. Table for 7. 3 roasts, 2 burgers, chicken kiev and prawns….we all had desserts. The food and drinks were great…..wonderful young lady served us and was amazing!!!! Its not often as a family that everyone is happy (there’s always one) but on this occasion everyone loved the meal and service (a roast with either a free starter or pudding for £14.00 wow!!!). Will be back!!!!

I haven't been in here for years. Popped in after going to a local shop. Lovely cold beer and friendly bar man. Its been refurbished since I was last there . Will definitely try the food next time.
