Stooped for a well needed bite to eat on Saturday night. I went for the Gourmet chicken burger meal and my friend had the spicy mountain burger meal.
It was busy when we arrived with all 3 tables occupied so we asked for takeaway.
They cooked our food fresh and by the time it was ready which was the expected 4 or 5 minutes the tables were clear so we ate in.
The food was excellent, moist, tasty, not fatty and loads of fries. My friend enjoyed his food and the burger had just the right amount of spice so about 7 out of 10 knowing him 😀
The prices were very reasonable. Both in the region of £6.50 to £7.50.
Will go there again next time we go to the George in Woodford opposite.

I recently visited Chicken Cottage and decided to try their burger and spicy wings. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, with a great balance of flavors from the toppings and the patty. The spicy wings were also delicious, with a nice kick of heat that wasn't overpowering. The overall ambiance of the shop was clean and welcoming, and the service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend Chicken Cottage for anyone looking for a tasty meal in a casual atmosphere.

I don't normally like fried food, bit the flavour and quality is just fabulous. There strap line says "All about the taste" and it shore is good. The staff are friendly and helpful especially the night manager, a really nice bloke. Take cash, they don't take cards.

High quality service and food. Despite moving to Loughton, we still order from here, either food to be delivered or we pick up the food from here. Burgers and spicy wings are loved by all the family. It’s great that I have the choice for healthier option like the plain grilled chicken. The other flavours of grilled chicken are nice too. The chicken wraps are also loved by my son. No one else does chips like them. Very delicious. It’s a nice treat when I don’t feel like cooking.

I wish I could prepare and make chips like they do, very crispy yo perfection, chicken wings, perfect, chicken burger perfect.
Everything is tasty and fills that gap.

This establishment is the textbook example of how a Chicken Shop should be.
Sure it’s on the pricey side compared to your bog standard Chicken Shop (quality over quantity right?) but what you get here is Tasty food that is fresh and of a high quality.
Also worth noting is their standard of hygiene is kept high, this is noticeable as soon as you step into the shop.
Our family favourite!
Worth mentioning that they only accept cash, no card/contactless.
There is a HSBC and Sainsbury’s a minute walk away for your disposal to solve this issue but considering the times we live in, paying using all payment methods should be standard by now.
Because of this, 4 out of 5 stars.

Easily accessible on foot. No parking option. Ppl usually park outside on double yellows which is a risk but they get away with it. Staff are friendly. I've had better chicken cottage from other stores. Can't complain for the price. Can get a full meal for 3.50 which fills a grown man. Staff are friendly enough. Clean environment and 5 star health rating.
