Bedrock Cafe

The lady who served us was super friendly and welcoming and the place has a really friendly atmosphere. I had a giant sandwich with roasted veg, hummus, avacodo and halloumi which was delicious. The menu has a good balance between cafe staples - all day breakfast, panini, jacket - and more interesting Mediterranean-style stuff. Highly recommended

I visited this cafe on a Sunday morning. I ordered 3 paninis. Firstly I was shocked at the price. It cost me £18. Secondly,and most importantly, I noticed the girl on the counter who was handling my paninis had not even attempted to wash her hands. When I came into the cafe I think she may have been looking at her mobile phone or doing something at the counter. If she had done her health and hygiene training she would have known to wash her hands first before handling food. In fact the cook who was making my paninis should have told her. Handling money and mobile phones are the most dirty and bacteria ridden items. Then start touching food. Not on. If I had not of already paid I would have walked out. I have been in the catering industry for years and know the hygiene rules. This will stop me from going into this cafe again.

Sunday, 26th of May. Arrived at 2:25, decently ahead of the 3:00 closing time. The employee had all the chairs on the tables, and was closing down. We sought refuge from the rain outside, and weren't even given a reason for why the cafe was closing significantly earlier than stated. Very unfortunate, as I was looking forward to seeing what it was like.
