You Me And The Pizza

Despite eating elsewhere along happening Dray Walk to start, I couldn’t pass up trying some classic ‘hipster pizza’. So, I left the way I came and ordered a capricciosa pizza for myself. It arrived quickly and was the perfect size to smash after working up an appetite walking the trendy neighbourhood. A little burnt along a couple of the edges, the crust was thin and light with just the right amount of support necessary to hold onto the fresh tasting ingredients atop the mild sauce. Not having a liquor license was no problem as they’re more than happy for you to order a beer down the alleyway and bring it back to your table and people watch. Not the best woodfired pizza I’ve ever had, but it was probably the best (and one of the few) true value meals I had in London at a mere £8.

Excellent wood fired pizza just off Brick Lane. The place was deserted when I walked by, and having just had a very tasty neapolitan style pizza I don't know why. It has plenty of seating, inside and out, but is catering for foot traffic really (no cutlery or beer). I had a diavola, thin, chewy, nicely charred, and fresh, vibrant taste. I'll be coming back.
