The Lord Moon Of The Mall

This is an absolute must for any culinary enthusiast. A small and perfectly formed restaurant with world class staff, serving classic dishes with an occasional modern twist. The wine list is short but very good with some very affordable options. There is none of the stuffiness about it that one usually gets in this sort of place. Undoubtedly one of my favourite restaurants. You must book!

NO LONGER A WETHERSPOONS PUB! (The new owners are obviously too lazy to add their own listing to Google, trading off the back of the respectable 4.1* rating and reviews of the previous entry.) It is now just another vastly over priced craft beer place, as if Central London doesn't have enough of those type of pubs already! With this Wetherspoons now closed, the company is even less well represented in the 'touristy' parts of Central London, with just the 'Montagu Pyke' on Charing Cross Road remaining. There was also once 'The Tyburn' at Marble Arch and 'The Moon and Sixpence' in Soho too. Come on Tim, sort it out! What about a new place around Waterloo/London Eye area? Not all of us can/nor want to fork out a fiver for a bog standard pint in Central London!
