⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most delightful experience at Alkababgi restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, and their genuine smiles set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. My favourite staff members are Houssam (the chef), Ilham (waitress), Rifat and the manager Mustafa. The service at Alkababgi was truly outstanding. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our meal was perfect. They were prompt in taking our orders and offered excellent recommendations from their diverse menu. Speaking of the menu, the food was absolutely divine! Each dish was prepared with precision and bursting with flavors that tantalized our taste buds. The selection of kababs was extraordinary, and I couldn't resist trying a variety of them. Every bite was a sheer delight, and I found myself savoring every morsel. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The decor was tasteful and added to the overall pleasant dining experience. Moreover, the staff demonstrated a genuine passion for their work, which translated into a level of service that was both professional and friendly. They were attentive to our needs throughout the entire meal without being intrusive, which allowed us to enjoy our dining experience to the fullest. I have been going to Al Kababgi quite often recently, stumbled upon this place when I first ordered the shawerma wrap from there takeaway menu. The shawerma was amazing juicy, the meat well done and the sauces on point. I then tried today there lamb kabsa, overall the food was good the kabsa was given without sauce and felt drier, but the owner came over and brought the chilli sauce. Full marks for service, as he was very attentive and probably realised my struggle. Fattoush was good too, right amount of tanginess. I would definitely recommend the place for there shawerma, the lamb kabsa while good is not the best that I have tried.

My wife and I stopped by Al Kababgi on Queensway this evening and had a great dining experience. The restaurant was fairly empty as we arrived early in the evening. She ordered a lemonade with mint and I just had a Coke Zero (they brought a can). She said the lemonade was excellent, and ordered another before dinner was over. The waiter even gave her the recipe so she can make them at home. We ordered hummus and tzatziki as appetizers, and they brought a basket of thin pita bread that was warm and perfect for dipping. All was delicious! I ordered lamb shish and my wife ordered chicken shish for our main. It was fresh, hot and delicious. It came with basmati rice cooked perfectly, along with sort of salad on the plate... red onions, shredded lettuce, and pickles. As a side note, we're from the US and have been surprised at the pickles here. They are a completely different taste than pickles in the US. We're used to pickles with an overwhelming vinegar taste, while these don't have a vinegar taste at all! Much better in my opinion. The service was very good. They brought our drinks and food, and then left us alone unless we signalled to them that we needed something. They also gave us an excellent piece if baklava on the way out as a gift. All in all, the food was great, the service was great, and it's worth another trip!

So perfectly balanced in terms of spices, excellent value for money in terms of the meal deals. The place has the sweetest staff, the owner is wonderful, the staff is wonderfully kind and keep taking regular feedback. Furthermore,the hygiene is excellent too. Definitely recommend if you are around Queensway / Bayswater. Will visit again.
