Cinnamon Garden

A hidden gem in Carshalton. We've eaten in 3 or 4 times now and will keep returning. The curry I had tonight was one of the nicest I've ever had. Food is always really lovely and the onion bhajis are worth coming for on their own. The owner is also great. Friendly, welcoming and just all round good service.

I've ordered "Lamb Kothu" (£10.50), "Vegetable Kothu" (£8.50), "Mutton Rolls" (2 pieces for £4.99) and "Jaffna Vegetarian Roll" (2 pieces for £3.99) from this place. All of these items are more expensive than at other Sri Lankan restaurants I've visited. I was curious why the prices were so high and mentally taking a gamble when ordering. The "Lamb Kothu" was plentiful and the food was very good quality - which in my opinion balanced out the high price, and so I would recommend in future for people who don't mind paying it's price. The rolls however were physically smaller than at other Sri Lankan restaurants and more pastry than filling, so I personally would avoid these (although you might have a different opinion).

I have ordered from Cinnamon Garden on several occasions and have consistently been pleased with the taste and quantity of their food. Yesterday, my husband and I visited the restaurant for the first time and were delighted with the ambiance. The light melody music playing in the background created a lovely atmosphere. When we arrived, we were greeted by the cheerful face of Roopan, and the rest of the staff were equally friendly. We were thoroughly satisfied with the hospitality and food quality, and would enthusiastically recommend this place to anyone.
