Pelican State in Bloomsbury: Service with a side of laughter! 😄🦞 Our dining experience here was filled with humor, thanks to our server. As for the lobster, it could've used a bit more warmth, but hey, maybe they're secretly trying to introduce "cold lobster" as a new trend. Jokes aside, it was an enjoyable evening overall.

After a pleasant stroll through the Brunswick centre, this place is the perfect stop-off for a soulful meal. Venue is very no frills but perfectly clean and pleasant. Portion sizes on the smaller end but they do NOT skimp on flavour! Food and drinks were served promptly. Overall lovely meal, would recommend.

Tried sea food first time ! So yummy ! We ordered boiled snow crab platter along with half lobster ! With voodloo sauce ! Everything was delicious! If you love sea food ! This is the place to try

Went there at 1pm on Tuesday, even though we had booked for 3 people at 1:30pm, no issues our table has a reserved sign on it. It wasn't busy then anyway. Food was delicious, service was attentive by both Ibrahim and Garfield (thank you gents). The voodoo sauce wasn't too spicy and the garlic sauce was very potent - have chewing gum for afterwards! Generous portions, couldn't finish it all (we went for the standard snow crab boil, not the lunch menu)

I was very hungry and saw the dinner menu started at 6pm. The staff were welcoming, professional and very helpful. I had a great fish meal and am completely full now!

The seafood itself was delicious and cooked really well, I was just disappointed with the potatoes as they tasted old and re-cooked which was a huge shame. The Cajun sauce was nice, maybe next time I’ll try another sauce! For the price in comparison to other restaurants, I would go back

It's definitely worth trying. The service was amazing. My friend had a list of seafood she couldn't eat for religious reasons, they allowed her to modify the selection (within reason of course) to get food that worked for her.
I got the fried crunchy option. I gave it a dour but it's my own doing. Oysters etc. Really don't do well fried. But the food was very flavorful.
I'd definitely go again.

We got the XL boil with garlic sauce, crispy combo and mac & cheese. Portion was good for 3 of us.
The XL boil and crispy combo were delish! The sauces were great. They were well cooked. The fish and prawns were fresh and juicy; but the mussels were tiny and some of them were still shut. The mac & cheese wasn’t good either.
However, we’d 100% come back to try another boil. Hopefully they can substitute the mussels for something else.

We were served by Ibrahim who was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and able to make good recommendations. The food was good for the most part with great portions but the mac and cheese bites were a bit of a let down as they were over cooked. Overall good experience.
