Pocketsquare Skyline Bar & Terrace

Lovely cocktails and a great view. Point off for the frustration at the end when paying the bill as the server couldn't understand basic maths. Bill was £267 including the tip, so I told her to make it easy we would pay £30 a head for 9 people. She asked if we had a calculator (!) & then made us wait at the end so she could tally up the sums, despite taking payment from everyone. Really think knowing your 3x table should be the minimum requirement when working with money.

How convient is that the next venue is just an elevator away ? This was brilliant, didn't need to worry about ordering an Uber, or do citymapping for the direction to the next place. The first impression is the view and the view is brilliant. Having work in the area for a few year, I would never imagine the view this bar have. It's a small bar / lounge place so capacitywise it's limited and to be safe book a reservation. Outdoor seating is minimal but again book in advance. Being so close to Brick Lane I guess the art inspired design is a homage to the area. It's trendy, arty and the drinks are good but are bit.... Love that they have a dj playing some house lounge-type music. Service and the staff were good but the bar was busy so felt sorry for the waiter running around taking orders and serving drinks.

I booked a section of this fantastic space for my graduation party and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we approached the venue they were nothing but helpful, approachable and accommodating. We had already looked at a few other rooftop bars but were met with either disinterest or aloofness and also with some ridiculous price tags. PocketSquare staff were immediately welcoming, warm and very down to earth. We felt immediately comfortable in what is a classy, elegant space but not snobby or pretentious. The drinks are reasonably priced and the cocktails carefully crafted, seasonal and well thought out. The ice cubes made in the shape of coy carp to give the drink the look of a pond was truly unique. The bar food is delicious with bar bites and platters available. The space is comfortable, modern and has a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The bi-fold doors onto the terrace with a spectacular view is the crowning glory of this bar and everyone agreed it had the wow factor. If you’re looking for a classy rooftop bar in London without the ridiculous price tag and pretentious snobbery then this is the place for you. A big thank you again to Karan and all the staff who made the party a really special occasion with lovely little thoughtful touches. You certainly made it an event that I’m never likely to forget for all the right reasons and we look forward to returning for either another event or some “quieter” drinks!
