A tiny authentic Cantonese restaurant near Kings Cross where you can have a taste of Hong Kong. I arrived just before 9pm and there was still a line. I ended up ordering the beef stir fried noodles and a home made soup to go. It was an 8-min walk back to my Airbnb but I could still taste the "wok air" when I opened the container. They don't take reservations so expect to wait during peak hours. Enjoy!

The best Hong Kong style dim sum in London! Reasonably priced and with quite large portions, Dim Sum Duck offers classic dim sum dishes, noodles, rice, congee, vegetable sides and more. This is a small “mom and pop” business that does not take reservations. It’s a no frills, classic Chinese style restaurant. Be prepared to wait in the queue. It’s totally worth it. 😋

Best dim sum in London! Waited about an hour in the queue but worth the wait. I can confidently say that I would order everything we had again. The standout items were the French beans with minced pork, the pan-fried duck buns, the shrimp/chive dumplings, and the salted egg yolk buns were a slam dunk. This is the type of place I would bring my Asian parents (IYKYK). The staff were so friendly but most of all efficient! Will definitely come back.

Dim sum here was very tasty; plump in size and delicious. Lemon ice tea was very good. Small restaurant so best to get there early to beat the queue or start queuing early.

I would say the dim sum this restaurant offers is very high quality, it’s definitely the best in London, if not the UK. It’s even better than most Hong Kong yum cha places 😋 The hagau (prawn dumpling) is full of freshly prepared prawns and I’ve never seen such a big hagau before. The tofu stew was also really tasty, the tofu was silky soft while still retaining some of the fried umami taste. I do have to say the service is not for everyone (expect the Hong Kong style efficiency and bluntness) and there’s always a long queue. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes, normally the wait is 1-2 hours. The restaurant doesn’t offer a lot of spaces so the place is quite crowded. May not be the place for big groups or people who prefer to have more leg room. However, personally the food is definitely worth the wait.

The dim sum was very delicious, very plump and appetising. Duck was very good, like any that you can get in Chinatown. Staff were somewhat friendly but due to long lines it just felt they wanted to get all the food out and go. We waited over an hour to get seated and you had to order before you were seated. It is a very small restaurant so it was quite cramped inside. I’m not sure if it was worth the wait but definitely worth to visit once. My recommendations are the shrimp dumplings and the duck.

The ‘Grammers have been out in force waxing lyrical about this hole in the wall so had to see what all the fuss was about. The weather was good so there was outdoor seating. Arrive well before midday, when they open, and be prepared to get in line. It’s a tiny place. The furniture is basic. The service is bordering on dictatorial but that’s nothing new for a Chinese establishments in London to be fair. To the food. The dim sum is pretty damn special. The cheung fun dough light as air and the prawns succulent. The wonton noodle soup was a triumph. The wonton were some of the best I’ve ever had, the pork and prawn concoction juicy & seasoned to perfection. Beef Ho fun had the most wonderful char from a wok that’s been pulverised by searing heat and oils. The roast duck was just ok. Seemed rushed. All of this was tempered by having about 20 people waiting in line and microscopically examining your every slurp hoping it would be your last. So, would I come back? Yes absolutely, for the dim sum. I’ll just make sure to sit inside next time.

Sooooo delicious! The portion is quite big, and the price is fairly good in central London. Everything tasted good. But the queue is very long too. We arrived around 6:40pm on Saturday evening and waited for about 50min to get a table. Still overall I think it worth the wait.

Food is tasty and quick. The service was quick and helpful. This is a place to come, wait in line (you can buy something to drink across the road while you wait), eat and go. We got there 10 mins past 6pm (open time) and there was already a long line, we waited an hour so come prepared for that. All food was great, except the duck was a bit dry but maybe we were just unlucky, but it was still very tasty.

This place is really good for both roast duck and their dim sum. I have been a couple of times now, and it has not disappoint! In terms of service, I would say that you get the real experience of eating in an Asian restaurant. Food is good, and today for the first time, I tried their ice lemon tea and it was really good too (albeit slightly on the more costly spectrum). For the quality and the food, I would definitely recommend and come back again and again. Oh, and if you want to come for food, I suggest getting there early (and not to queue hungry) as you may have a long wait!
