Velvet Coffee And Smoothies

Outstanding, mellow coffee made with love and care by the friendly owner. The best coffee I've ever tasted—my only complaint is that it's ruined me for other coffees! Nothing else compares with it. Great smoothies too, all with natural fruity ingredients, just right for hot weather, or when I'm not in the mood for caffeine. Whether I'm getting takeaway or sitting down inside, it's a delightful experience going to Velvet (now with the name Eleni's, and a few doors up the Archway Road from the original Velvet but with the same owner). Peter, the proprietor, takes a personal interest and pride in every aspect of the café and it's clearly a labour of love for him. And his happy 'regulars' obviously love it too. An easy 5 stars.

I'm not from this area, and I was looking for a coffee place and a little snack in the morning. I came across this place - and I'm glad I did. Love the openness of the shop! 👏🏼 to the designer! The coffee (flat white) was beautiful, and so was the carrot cake slice! As you can see in the pic, I couldn't resist eating a piece of it before taking the pic - no regrets. It was delicious, hit the spot, and can assure you no crumbs were left behind. Finally, the staff member was friendly and really welcoming. Great start to my morning. Thank you.

I’m visiting London for a few weeks staying nearby and this has become my daily coffee place with friendly service and spot on caffeine drinks. The smoothies are great as well, I especially love the “Oats of this World” and the “Choc it up” protein smoothie. The pastries are wonderful and it’s been too tempting not to pick up a croissant and or peanut bar everyday I go there. The carrot cake is amazing too!

Arguably the best coffee shop in North London! Very cool vibe with a group that truly cares about the coffee and customers! But if you are not a coffee lover, try their yummy super healthy smoothies! And let's not forget the delicious cakes made by local bakers, vegan doughnuts (YES VEGAN), 100% recommend this lovely spot!
