Abugida - Taste Of Ethiopia

If you want to experience authentic Ethiopian cuisine with exceptional flavors, a diverse menu and a very “local” vibe, you have to try Abugida. The menu offers a fantastic variety of lamb, beef, chicken and vegan options, all packed with delicious spices and natural ingredients. The samosas are on point and the lamb is exceptionally good. Wash it all down with a honey wine or Ethiopian beer and you are all set.

It is a small place but well maintained and well decorated. Service was great and very helpful to try to find something in the menu that was not too spicy for the kids. Most of the dishes were somewhat spicy (not an issue for me at all) and needed a little extra salt but otherwise it was delicious Ethiopian food. The combination for two was exactly as stated and my husband and I ate comfortably with that amount of food. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the food served.

This was such a good find! The service is so good! You're treated to warm smiles by the staff, they were attentive and as it was our first time explained everything so well. Also to add they are child friendly as we went in with a 10month old who needed a high chair and they were very accommodating about this. The food is very tasty and there are lots of authentic options. The portion sizes are big! We ordered the abigida special for 2 and we couldn't finish it! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be going back in the future for sure! Thank you for an amazing experience!

Absolute gem of a new restaurant! Have been looking for an authentic delicious Ethiopian place since moving here and this place does not disappoint. Well flavored, plenty of vegan options. Ordered the vegan platter for 2 and couldn't finish it so took the rest home. Everything was well seasoned, with only the red lentils being spicy. Would visit again.

The food and ambiance were great. They were able to accommodate us without reservations. Wish there was a bit more heating inside, but once I put my jacket back on, it was fine. They might have been short staffed that night but it took a while to get our food and drinks. However, the food more than made up for it. The food was simply AMAZING!

Perfection!!! I went yesterday at like 1 pm? The meat and veggies where so rich, well spiced a feast for the eyes and the aroma was amazing!! the taste, the texture of the bread i loooved the flavours!!!! You can taste the love they put. The place is clean and looks refined. People are kind. I think i paid £16 for the super generous platter and a mango juice♡ very price worthy in my opinion! Also i brought half home and i tasted it now and it's still super good. Thank youu
