Lacquered Restaurant

Really wanted to like lacquered, and have been wanting to try it for years. Unfortunately, I may have built up my expectations too high. Ordered the fried chicken and the signature garlic noodle topped with grilled chicken. Although both dishes are passable, but I was looking for much more. Fried chicken was crispy, but the meat under the crispy skin lacks seasoning/flavor. The garlic noodle is a miss, it's more like a soy sauce chow mein than garlic noodle. I expect garlic noodles to be garlicky, savory, and buttery, but it wasn't any of that. All and all, it's a decent meal that you may expect from a neighbor's kitchen.

Impeccable service, well seasoned and flavorful food, and sauces galore! I'm a sucker for scratch made sauces and Lacquered does not disappoint. This mac-rrito was insane! Fresh and hot. They really take pride in their food and it shows. The large portions are much appreciated. Please consider supporting this Long Beach local Mom-and-Pop restaurant.

Great Food , Great Customer Service, Friendly Curious Generous the cashier added fries since she could tell it was my first time eating here! Chicken sandwich out of this world. French Fries best fries I've ever had. I also picked up some stuffed cannoli, They look amazing. . Quick, Customer Service Friendly Curious Helpful Staff everything I'd want from a restaurant!

It has been so long since I’ve enjoyed every single bite of my meal! Had the ultimate chicken sandwich and hand cut fries. Sandwich was uniquely delicious, slaw cut through the richness of the chicken, fried onion straws added a nice texture. The bread held everything amazingly together even though the sandwich was bigger than my head! And the fries....crispy on the outside and silky smooth on the inside. Still good as I pick at them now cold. Definitely will return. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a dinner in the Long Beach area. Can’t wait to come back and try their fried chicken!

Amazing food-- some of the best in Long Beach!! We ordered about a third of the menu (fried chicken, poutine, garlic noodles with shrimp and veggies, mac and cheese with pork belly, Thai spring rolls, cookies, and chocolate dipped strawberries). Everything was terrific! If I had to pick 2 favorites, I'd choose the garlic noodles and mac and cheese with pork belly. They were super busy but the person working there was friendly and helpful.

I can’t comment on the regular menu but would not recommend ordering their special Thanksgiving meal. They were extremely unorganized. I placed my order over the phone on 11/15/2021 and spoke with Chef Diana. I gave her a pickup time of 3pm, and she explicitly said that they couldn’t do 3pm, but that we could pick up at 3:15pm. We show up at 3:18pm, and the man at the counter can’t find my order. It was placed under the 5pm time slot for some reason. We were never notified. Very disheartening and would not recommend ordering from here in the future.

Second time doing take out fried chicken dinner for a group tonight. Worth the small dose of chaotic (when picking up) to chow this crispy chicken. The Mac and cheese is flavorful, but i think the portion on this side is skimpy. We always order extra chicken so we have cold leftovers, but the sides just don’t keep as well. The noodles and the slaw were especially flavorful. Chocolate chip cookies are pretty cakey - if you like them tall and airy, then this spot is for you.
