Tocaya - Venice

This is a good Tocaya location, and if you come in Taco Tuesday, each taco is only $2! It unfortunately located in an odd area with not much parking other than street parking. However as always, they have great organic taco options from vegan to vegetarian to omnivorous! The chips were also good too here. I would come back, or try out any other Tocaya location.

Loved the place. An extra star for the hospitality they showed. Ordered Corn Tofu bowl. Everything was highly customizable. Asked them to add a few things to the bowl and they generously did it. Loved the guacamole, home made queso and plantain chips. The passion fruit margarita was decent. The vibe and the service is really great here!

My wife and I recently ordered takeout from Tocaya Modern Mexican in Venice Beach and we were absolutely blown away by how delicious everything was. First of all, the ordering process was quick and easy. We placed our order online and it was ready for pickup in no time. When we got home and opened up the bags, we were immediately struck by how fresh everything looked. I ordered the burrito, nachos, and churros, and they were all absolutely delicious. Each bite was bursting with flavor and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. My wife had the quesadillas, which she devoured before we could even take a photo of it, but she loved it! We also ordered a couple of sides and a salad, and each dish was equally as impressive. The churros were particularly outstanding, with a crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior. We will definitely be ordering those again. The soup we ordered was a little spicy for our taste, but VERY flavorful. Overall, we were thrilled with our experience at Tocaya Modern Mexican. The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful, and the entire ordering process was quick and easy. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high-quality, delicious Mexican food in Venice Beach. Update 10/01/2023: Very lovely service in-person, with very clean dining areas inside and outside. We were still very pleased with the freshness and the kindness that the staff gave us. 5 out of 5! Among the few places in the US that the tacos taste like legit tacos. The tortillas are delicious, the ingredients. The service was fast and nice. Prices are great. The location of this one in particular is great. You can park at venice beach public parking for 9 usd per day. And is at walking distance from there. I loved it! It was so good that first I just ordered 3 tacos. And then I ordered 3 more. On the tables they have a QR where you can order online to eat there. And in that way you can customize a little bit more your taco. They also have vegan options.
