We had our son's wedding rehearsal there about a week ago & we cannot say enough glowing things about the restaurant, food, Alban, Arber & excellent staff. They were awesome to work with (most done from out-of-state), everything was arranged perfectly & it was a super event. A group of us from NYC went out to Madison for a performance and art show at Drew University. We happened upon Il Goccino and were lucky enough to get a table on short notice on a Friday evening (they were packed!). What a lovely evening we had at this family-owned and run restaurant! Consistently good food, attentive and graceful service, and a lovely atmosphere of elegant family-style. If they were closer to where I lived, I would happily go there again. Oh, they are BYOB, but a very good wine store is next door and bringing our own wine meant we could have very good wine without breaking the bank.

This is our favorite restaurant in Madison. The food is excellent and we have especially enjoy the linguine with white clam sauce and the delicious fig appetizer. The staff is so welcoming and Al, Arber and Dana lead the way. We have taken our grandchildren here many times as it has become a must on any visit to Madison. Do yourself a favor and pick up your favorite bottle of wine and head there for dinner.
