Cousins Subs

The customer service here was not good. When I arrived there were three employees on the line making sandwiches. They didn't acknowledge that I arrived or that someone would take my order shortly, they just ignored me and the line of customers forming behind me. One of the workers came over and started taking orders. She had a terrible attitude, and sounded like she absolutely hated being there. My order came quickly and was correctly prepared, but other customer's orders were not done as ordered. Besides the subpar customer service, the atmosphere was dirty looking and not very well kept with paint chipping off the walls.

I struggled for a bit with actually getting the sandwich I ordered. I would order subs with mayo for example, and the sub wouldn’t come with mayo. This happened often enough, so I stopped going. I went back a few months later to try again, 10 minutes after they opened according to the website. The door was locked, but saw people inside working. I called and their response was that they were waiting for their manager and to wait. This is completely unacceptable. Their service and quality is inconsistent.

Cousins is my and my partner's favorite place to get subs, which we do weekly. Sadly, more often than not we arrive home to find that our "build your own" subs were made incorrectly with ingredients we stressed to leave off. The occasional mishap is totally understandable, but the rate at which this seems to happen is frustrating. When made correctly, the food is great and the fries are always fresh! The staff seem friendly. The only other downside is that we wish it were open a bit later.

It's easy to write a review on bad customer service, but it's worth noting exemplary customer service too. Taking a moment to highlight an exceptional employee named Miguel. Not only is he friendly every time my girlfriend and I come in, but he remembers our orders, is personable, and goes above and beyond to make every visit a fulfilling experience. Miguel, I hope the establishment appreciates you as much as we do. :)

If i could give them negative stars i would, every time i have gone to this subway after 7 or so i get the same answer each time I have gone there that they ran out of bread. You make sub sandwiches being out of bread is the last thing you should be out of, out of a type of meat or topping i understand but bread is not one of them. If you are really up for a sub from them do not go to this location on old sauk road. The manager here needs to be replaced.

Love this chain, but this store is inconstant with food availability while they're open. Numerous times I have gone in well before close and they have been out of meatballs. It's just them jumping the gun and tearing down their setup before they close. This is unacceptable and irritation and a terrible business practice. Once is fine, but when a pattern starts to develop, that's why I go out of my way and write you a not so thrilling review.
