A really lovely Sunday lunch
Casual, relaxed atmosphere, the food here was top notch. We started with the infamous ham croquettes which were by far the best we’ve ever sampled. Washed down with a couple of well made cocktails. Service was excellent and our Sunday lunch -one beef, one pork were both really delicious, sadly I did find my beef a little chewy but the whole plate was so delicious I chose not send it back. Regardless of this we’d certainly book again. A great find nestled in the midst of ancoats

What a great venue. The whole of the Northern Quarter has a great vibe and this a great bar/restaurant. Food was modern, small plate, really well cooked and very tasty. We couldn’t fault any of the dishes. Staff were friendly and professional. Will definitely return.

Came for Sunday lunch (came for drinks a few times, pinxtos and small plates and I really rate!) The Sunday lunch was beautiful. Couldn’t fault a thing with the food, service was great, attentive but not over the top. Would always suggest this as one of my top places to go to in Manchester!

Cute bar with a welcoming staff. Visited on a tuesday evening, we made a booking just in case, but there was lots of space available. The food was the highlight, I had the courgette fritters and croquettes. While the menu is somewhat limited, the quality is evident. The only drawback is the relatively high cost for the portion size. While the price was justified by the delicious food, I wished to try more dishes. Will just have to make a returned visit!

Really friendly staff, great atmosphere and Sunday roasts. Snack food throughout the rest of the week.

Absolutely outstanding Sunday Roast at The Jane Ayre. We had the special rolled pork which had delicious crispy crackling, full of flavour and came with stuffing. We had the special side which was red cabbage - divine! The duck fat roast potatoes are sublime!! Attentive staff and lovely atmosphere with a nice autumnal view of the Ancoats square. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great place to have a great (affordable) cocktail with some outstanding small plates. They also have a happy hour Tuesday-Thursday. Plus dog friendly!

This place is amazing! I came in for Sunday roast, but I screwed up my reservation (totally my fault!) and showed up about 30 minutes after the kitchen closed. The staff was so nice about my reservation mistake and the chef was kind enough to put together a plate of food for me. It was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very cool. Can't recommend The Jane Eyre highly enough!

Sunday roast was *chefs kiss* which I'd defo have again, as was the dessert. Really good portions for the price.
My only complaint was that the staff seemed quite surly?? I just got an off vibe that we were inconveniencing them by eating there! Maybe I'm not cool Ancoats enough to eat there, ha.
