Sonic Drive-in

I love my comfort food. Especially burgers. So I was psyched my family wanted Sonic takeout. We all ordered cheeseburgers with fries. I could hardly wait to get home - cause all I pictured was the Sonic commercials with the incredibly juicy burgers the whole ride home. Anyway, as soon as I unwrapped my burger to eat after I got home I knew something was ‘off’ ...... it looked flat. Like the meat was non-existent. And the same thing happened with my other two family member’s cheeseburgers. It was like the Sonic trademark ‘oomph’ was not there. The lettuce, pickle, tomato tasted ‘off’ too — maybe the better word to use would be ‘old’ cause the whole cheeseburger just did not taste nor look ‘fresh’ - to none of us!!! I admit that we ate our burgers .... out of hunger, but we did not relish them. And I so wanted that experience. You know exactly what I mean too — that moment when you bite into your burger and it literally bursts with flavor on your tongue!!! Well, that never happened with our Sonic burgers - sad to say too cause I wanted to believe the hype from all those commercials. Maybe they were just having an off day. But in the food business an off day can translate into disaster in this economy. Hopefully Sonic will get it’s groove back in time for my next visit!

There was a big molded area on their hot dog bun. Ive been trying to call and their phone is busy. It’s absolutely ridiculous that someone missed this. Thank god she My 6 year old was smarter than the people who put this together to realize she shouldn’t eat. I found this in the paper tray hopefully she wont get sick. This is unexceptable and i will be reporting to the food health department. We dont eat out often and this is why!

Food was very good. Had a burger and fries and chicken tenders. They weren't all that crispy but we're good. A little pricey but we knew that going into it. The carhop was on his game. Would have given another star but when we pressed the order button to order milkshakes before leaving there was no response. We pressed it a second time and again no response. Gave up and went through drive through. Not enough staff on duty. In the time of covid I I summed it up to that and decided not to complain.

Had lunch Friday Sept 4th ,12pm, was great!! Came back on the 6th at 3pm. It was horrible. Burnt to death bacon 3 onions on my pretzel dog. And missing an item, which we we're done with the food before missing drink turned up. Car hops coming to our car asking if this was our order 2x . Just a mess. Won't be back
