Barkers Red Hots

The food is great and the family who owns it is very friendly. They are famous for their hot dogs but even their burger and chicken sandwich is delicious too! I would give 5 stars but it's frustrating to deal with the lack of communication on their end. When you go, be prepared to repeat your order to every employee down the line because they don't have any system of communication between themselves. I typically end up repeating my order about 5 times each time I visit.

This place is awesome, the BEST hot dogs in Atlanta maybe even the country!!!! I used to go to them when they where street vendors downtown in the late 1980's. Where can you get hot dogs, burgers and sausages grilled over real charcoal...HERE!! Everything is cooked to order in their exhibition kitchen. The dogs, burgers and sausages have that distinguished charcoal taste. The onions rings are fresh battered and the Crystal Beach Crinkle Cut fries are washed in vinegar and are both to die for. All the sides are freah and great! Try their Original Signature Red Hot topped with hot sauce, onion and pickle!! The service and the staff are amazing and very helpful if you don't know what condiments work well together they will point you in the right direction. The place has a great vibe. They play great music and you feel like you stepped back in time and walked onto the beach. This is very unique restaurant and a must if you like grilled dogs.

I was told about this place by my sister. She swore by their hotdogs. So I went one day, and I swear that I've never eaten a hot dog from anywhere else. They somehow manage to get a dog that is crispy, but not burnt. Which is the way I prefer my dogs. There is so many options to choose from in terms of garnish for your dog. Everyone is super friendly that works there. I'm obsessed with their onion rings and fries. Both are really good. If you're a lover of hotdogs, you have to try this place out at least once!

Not a great experience! The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because of the staff. They were great and get 5 stars but this is overall. I had a Jumbo Chili "Slaw" Dog, fresh cut onion rings and sweet tea and it was terrible. The "Slaw" was just cut up cabbage with a hint of vinegar. The chili was disgusting! I had to try each part separately in order to find out where the crazy taste was coming from. Boy...that chili 👎. The dog and the bun wasn't half bad. The rings were very greasy. The tea tasted old. Overall a terrible experience and will not be returning.

There's lots of places to get a hot dog but not many come close to the quality and taste of Barkers. I would have given them 5 stars but due to the fact I was getting lunch for a few of us at the office and they gave me a hard time saying you can only get 6 sandwiches/hot dogs etc. per person. Told me to read the sign. This Was a bit confusing to me never seen a restaurant put a limit on your order espically a hot dog shop I go to Brandis all the time and order 10 to 15 hot dogs at a time with know problem. They are happy to sell them to me!
