Starbucks

I brought a friend here this past Monday and we opted to walk up to order. There were a few people in line and when our turn to order came, the man at the window walked away without saying anything. We waited and when he finally returned, he asked what we wanted, didn’t ask for a name and seemed bothered by our presence. No smile and no greeting even though I smiled and greeted him warmly. Once our order was ready, we went to retrieve it and when I asked for straws the man at the window immediately started taking someone’s order. He made us wait until he served the other person their coffee and sandwich before he even acknowledged we were standing there. I watched this man politely interact with everyone else in line however when it came to my friend and I, we were treated horribly. I hate to bring race into the equation but I’m not quite sure what else could have warranted his reaction to us. I have never experienced that type of treatment at any Starbucks and it’s really disheartening that this location would employ someone who would treat customers the way we were treated.

We live close and go here often the coffee is always good but today service was slow and rude, we ordered 2 drinks on the app and when I went to the window to pick them I stood there with employees glancing at me for about 3 mins, then when they opens the window, waited another 3-5 mins for 1 drink. I guess there was an issue with the app where bc it was out of an ingredient it didn’t order the 2nd drink, the girl employee was rude about it and made us get in the drive through to order the second coffee, drive through took almost 20 mins, no apologies for the wait. I understand stores may be short staff but that no excuse for rude customer service.

This location is amazing. The drinks are fine, standard Starbucks drinks, not sure why anyone would rave over them. What you SHOULD be raving over (and I am), is the staff. I go to the gym in the same complex, so I’m here 3-4x a week and no matter what time, who’s at either window, they are so friendly, genuinely kind, seem to enjoy their jobs. I could never deal with half of the stuff people put on them in their bad moods or absurd orders, but I’ll come here forever. Thank you!
