Wendy's

The food and service were terrific, and it's not the staff's fault that the restaurant looks like a DMV waiting room or a bus terminal. The decor choices fall squarely on corporate decisions. Wendy's started out looking like a cozy dining room, leaded glass lamps, chairs with cushioning, carpeted floors and wall decor that was warm and friendly. The current unfortunate trend (and McDonald's is even more guilty of this) is stark, bleak, and bereft of conviviality with cool toned hard surfaces everywhere. It's like something out of the nightmares of an Ikea designer. And with their prices of $15 for a hamburger combo meal, they could afford to add some warmth to the atmosphere! (This same combo was $9 just two years ago) Again, the service was great, and folks working there were hard at work making fresh and flavorful food, it's not their fault they have such drab and depressing environs in which to work

The young lady at the counter was friendly and polite. The service was prompt. The food was typical for Wendy's. After Dave died it just hasn't been the same. This particular location needs the motivation to clean more. The windows were dirty and the floor at the register was sticky. It wasn't disgusting, it was just a little neglected. The place wasn't busy so there was no excuse to not be cleaning. Overall, I would stop in again.
