Spoons

Love that you can get samples of the soup before making a choice. All the dessert choices (cookies, brownies) are gluten free. But VERY delicious for everyone. Today the little round brownie had a surprise Hershey kiss at the bottom! We thot about going to another restaurant but this gave more unusual choices. Cold avocado soup (my husband LOVED it), nosh of the day (lime watermelon with slaw or garbanzo slaw), butterscotch cinnamon cookies. Just wow. This photo shows verde chili with cheese, sour cream and really fresh tortilla chips.

I'm spoiled. My wife is a fantastic cook. She sends great meals to work with me every day. So I don't eat out very often. But when I do, I look for the same things she does. Fresh, local ingredients, well planned and executed. In other words....delicious. That's Spoons. Very good soups of varieties you've never tried alongside some old favorites. A surprise entree every day, big potato meals and everything is only great. Mary's enthusiasm is so infectious. She loves what she does, is excited to share it and boy does she do it well. I had the vegetarian lasagna today and it was surprising and fantastic. I'm not a vegan, it took a little courage to try it, but her Alfredo is excellent. Highly recommend. Eyelashes approves!

Terrible. Everything was unedible. One of the soups reminded me of Fabuloso, the really strong fake-lavender-scented cleaner!! It smelled like it and tasted like chemicals. The fruit "salad" was a soggy mess and had wilted lettuce in it. And the sweet potato. Oh the sweet potato. I should have known sour cream, sweet potatoes, and sausage was a bad idea. It tasted like baby food. Rarely do I experience an entire meal that is this awful. My husband and I took a few bites of everything and ended up throwing most of it away. What a waste! I'm sorry to write such a negative review for a local business but I hate wasting food (and money). This place needs a Gordon Ramsey makeover!

I LOVE SPOONS! Found the Central Point location entirely by accident a few years back, and what a happy accident it was! Every experience there and at their downtown Medford location has been incredible, from the quality ingredients and delicious preparation, to the warm and genuine service. You can taste and feel the love in every bite. My only regret is that we didn’t hire them to cater our wedding. A must try!!

The food and service was amazing! They had a delicious vegan option and I loved how kind and helpful the owner was. My only complaint is the amount of plastic that is used for every meal item. Plastic spoons, plastic tester cups, plastic drink cups and plastic nosh cups- I hope they can use more eco friendly to-go containers! Other than that, this was a great little restaurant!

This little gem truly is a jewel. I tasted a sample of Chicken Curry one day and fell in love. Now I eat it every other Tuesday. There are 3 different soups on the menu everyday and there is always a vegan choice. Plus everything is glunten free even the cookies.YES THAT'S RIGHT AND GLUTEN FREE BREAD. Everyday they offer a salad. Wednesdays Salad is Chicken Fiesta and it is my favorite. My husband likes the loaded 1lb baked potatoes. The Chicken. Cordon Bleu is loaded with all the goodness that makes Chicken Cordon Bleu so decadent. I love eating here at least once a week, sometimes more. The staff is awesome and the price is a bargain for home cooked healthy food. You can look up the menu everyday on Facebook at Spoons Medford.
