Tetsujin was a Japanese, sushi train-style restaurant serving a rather extensive variety of sushi and BBQ hot dishes. I’d been here a few times and each time my dining experience was always pleasant. Service was friendly, the food was always freshly made and flavoursome (desserts were especially so!), and the restaurant was always bright and clean. The lines to dine in were always long during lunch/dinner peak hours so best to come in a bit earlier.

Went for the first time and it has already became my favourite sushi train place. Quick & lovely service and fresh & nicely decorated food. Great atmosphere and setting. I loved the natural brightness and the exterior of the place, it didn’t feel claustrophobic at all.

Like a cat is naturally attracted to running water and a dog has an innate urge to chase fleeing objects, I too have an urge to have sushi move horizontally past me at a modest pace, finally free from its stationary prison. Tetsujin is a lovely experience with excellent service. Dessert spring rolls were an unexpected treat! All at a good price!

Tetsujin was a great option for a light dinner. At the top of emporium, it’s a funky space with great service and delicious Japanese cuisine. The chicken karaage was particularly good. Friendly service and plenty of options to self serve from the sushi train or to order via the tablet

One of the better Sushi Train in Victoria that is worth my time to write about and I usually go once a week, so I've been to a lot of them. Good variety and also some interesting dishes that you won't find in another sushi train. However, you are warned, that you must be patient in terms of queuing up as well as waiting for the interesting dishes to turn up. Price wise, it is more than others too, but the quality justifies it.

Bbq and Sushi train restaurant. I went to the bbq section. First of all gorgeous view overlooking some of the city. Recommend asking for a window seat, and maybe a sunset timing. Very romantic vibes if you’d like. Weeknights are generally more quiet, so better for a weeknight date night, or small gathering for friends. The venue is very clean and there are always staff going out and about, so it’s very easy to flag down someone for an extra napkin, a refill on water, or a takeaway box for your leftovers! As for the food, we had the fresh oysters, agedashi tofu, and the Chef’s selection of the graded 9 beef bbq. Our table was overflowing with food, but somehow we got through it with a party of 2. Gorgeous presentation. The agedashi tofu was an interesting take. Did not taste like Japanese agedashi tofu. Large portion, with quite a bit of thick sauce. Felt more akin to a tofu stir fry. The oysters tasted fresh, which was delightful-however the seasoning felt overly complicated and didn’t complement the oysters very well. The soft shell crab salad was nice. Nothing too special. Quite an overall acidic flavour, and the crab was over salted. Top two dishes were the salmon sashimi (super fresh) and the seafood miso soup. Absolute favourites. The grade 9 beef was nice, however for some reason, there was a sweet marinade that the pieces of meat were all coated in. This impacted the quality of the meal in 2 big ways. 1) High graded beef shouldn’t be marinaded, as you lose the ability to taste the quality of the beef. 2) The sugars in the marinaded caramelised very quickly, which meant there was a lot of charred residue on the grill (had to clean between each piece of meat being cooked). Also the oyster-blade was not cut evenly, so we had some uneven cooking. Very enjoyable cuts otherwise, however unfortunately ruined by some questionable decisions on the prep chef part. We paid 180$-without drinks, so be prepared to shell out a bit. Overall not worth it’s price.

Nice experience. Good food. Excellent sushi. We shared the pork belly set and some of the wagyu cuts. However I was a bit taken aback when I tried to order okonomiyaki from the table, the waiter said they didn't serve that here. (But they do because my friend who recommended this place had ordered that twice the last time they went here.) Other than that, nice atmosphere and food.

Chill vibes, great place to drop by with friends. Sushi was fresh however the plates have relatively small servings. Variety was somewhat limited compared to other sushi train restaurants.
