Great coffee and food. The breakfast rolls are delicious and the service has been consistent throughout lockdown. Always a lovely place and the staff are kind and helpful.

Waited 40min for a beef burger chicken burger and smashed avo on toast. Food was less then average and didn’t even get a sorry for the wait. Won’t be going back.

Great coffee, great service and great location on a nice day. Parking a little difficult if busy but ..... worth a look if you are around East Melbourne.

The food and service at Mugs Alley never disappoints!! Their new menu is tasty and delicious (I particularly love the breakfast stack, the potato rosti is to die for).
Friday evenings are also a great time to visit with the cafe doing live music and tapas.. we really enjoyed our night out at Mugs and I am looking forward to the next visit!

Dropped in here for Saturday brunch while exploring the area. Food was good but rather expensive (eg. $7.50 for orange juice, total bill was $34) and the kitchen was slow - my wife ordered a croissant with butter and jam and instead of bringing it out they held onto it while making other orders and cooking pancakes, bacon and eggs for me. By the time she got her order, she had finished her coffee. Instead of putting butter and jam in pots on the side, they cut open the croissant and spread them in the croissant, which is a no-no.

Great food! Coffee is bit hit and miss. Sometimes it's lovely and other times the grind is off. Overall though these people are a trusted local business and I know I'll get something delicious and very reasonably priced for breakfast or lunch.
