I'm sad that such a nicely looking restaurant in a prime location is rating so badly. Service level was a shock on Saturday evening, or if I should even call it service? There were 2 young floor staff and 1 man (looks like the manager) in the bar area. One of the young staff came to us and was slightly rude to start with, no idea what's on the menu and it was just bad attitude overall. The other one hasn't got much idea either, couldn't tell the differences between long Island (cocktail) to maple apple or something (extremely sweet cocktail), but was heaps polite. Because their drink menu contradicts to what's actually available, and the floor staff has no idea, we had to go to the bar to check. There were only 4 tables of customers at 1900 which was odd (and I know why now). Food wasn't great. Pizza and risotto were small serves and tasted very average. The fries weren't any better than frozen ones you've cooked at home, and the chicken wings were yucky...... I wish I have better words for them. Honestly, it looks like an overall management problem and staff recruitment / training should've done so much better. I may give it another go in a couple of months and hope that they'd improve. One star for the young Asian staff who tried very hard and being polite, and the other star goes to the deco/ ambience/ location of the restaurant.

Great place, the bar/restaurant I wish was at my uni campus! Food and beverages are tasty, the pricing is good - but I mostly tend to stick to specials. Their happy hour(s) are fantastic. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet - excellent place prior to a movie. Not useful for those who are veggie or gluten free though.

This place has gone incredibly down hill. We had dinner during happy hour hoping to have a drink each and enjoy some food. Food came slightly cold and were told that the basic spirit i wanted would be charged as a cocktail (all I wanted was an orange juice with vodka). I was okay with this since the cocktails were also on special during happy hour. When we finished our dinner they tried to charge us $16 dollars for the vodka and orange juice. When we tried to dispute this they were incredibly rude. Do not eat here, it isn't worth the money.

Fed up of seeing the manager treat his staff appaulingly. New staff always. We got told we had to sit outside when the place was empty! The waitress was nice but can guarantee new staff will be there next time. The pizza is good here we have been a handfull of times and want to go purely because the chef is good. The manager (middle aged male always behind the bar) needs to learn respect.

TO MANAGEMENT A friend of mine and I were at Melbourne Central last night (Friday) and decided to check out the dinner specials around us. Your restaurant had a good special on Groupon (62% off or $29 for a 2-course dinner with drinks). As the terms advise no walk-ins, we decided to come to the restaurant and check if we'd be allowed to use the voucher (as often many businesses will allow it if they aren't busy) before we buy it. There were two ladies by the entrance and we approached them. They both immediately said that, if we purchase the voucher right now, we can use it, and asked us whether we'd like to sit inside or outside. As the inside was completely empty, we decided to sit outside for better atmosphere. Minutes after we were shown to a table, another lady came out and said that she apologises for the misunderstanding, but we won't be allowed to use the voucher (which we had just purchased after the confirmation of your other two staff) and she'd like to offer us 25% off our bill. I thanked her and told her that we will leave. Even though I now have the voucher (which I only purchased after the confirmation of your two staff members), I no longer have any intention of using it. I would've had absolutely no issues if your staff advised us upfront that we can't get the deal as it contradicts the terms of the voucher. That's why we checked before we purchased it and were grossly mislead. Considering that your restaurant was completely empty, this is really bad way of doing business and ensuring no repeat custom. I am deeply disappointed and am happy to waste the $29 spent. Thank you for your time.

Absolutely appalling lunch experience in this restaurant! Do yourself a huge favour and avoid ever bothering with this place. There are so many fantastic dining options in Melbourne’s CBD and this is certainly not one of them - the service is horrendous, waitstaff are rude and very inexperienced, the food is utterly disgraceful and the overall dining experience is a complete nightmare. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I cannot express just how horrible my recent experience was. Management needs a serious lesson in how to run a restaurant and most importantly, in how to apologise for the continually horrendous dining experiences that customers are constantly complaining about.
