Istanbul Cafe Grill Bar

Super quiant place with highly attentive service. It's a small cafe style restaurant with white tablecloths and napkins. We chose the $39 pp banquet and got amazing food good value for money. The meat was super tender and tasty. The girls were friendly and the chef was lovely coming out to meet with us for dietary requirements. They also have an extensive normal western menu for those who don't want to have turkish food. Thanks for a great night!

The quaint Mt. Alexander Rd. has drawn another new café/restaurant all the way from Istanbul, Turkey. We tried their traditional breakfast special which felt light, wholesome, unique, and home cooked. The Turkish latté was highly invigorating as well. To wrap things up, we were presented with Turkish tea and baklava as a not-too-sweet crunchy nut dessert. Along with authentic Turkish music, optional outdoor seating, and the restaurant being open until late, the café grill bar is a welcome new addition to Essendon's burgeoning restaurant scene.

Very nice night. Sat out the front in a great outdoor setting. Heaters overhead to take the chill off. What i was really impressed about were the white linen table cloths. Table settings were great. Food.. Menu does not look that great but we had the lamb cutlets which were on the banquet menu and they were divine. Table service was casual but excellent. A great new place in Essendon. We will be back.
