I'd tried Colours kitchen in Prahran before it rebranded to Lomah and loved it. This concept is very similar and just as good. It's off putting that food is served in takeaway containers, but seating is limited in the small shop. I tried the sabich platter, as I love the traditional sandwich but wanted something less bready. What I received was a half eggplant topped with egg and tahini and served with tabbouleh, hummus, salad and chickpeas plus plenty of dressing. There's also a few types of pickles, tahini, spices and pita to add to your meal (self service). There was barely any pita when I went so I felt bad taking too much but the meal is too saucy without it, so I wish pita was just included or served in halves instead of wedges. The platter is more expensive than the pita variation of this dish anyway, so it seems fair to receive some extra bread. Regardless, my platter was really filling even with the measly 3 wedges of pita I was able to gather. It could have been a bit saltier but I guess that's what the pickles are there for.

Loved the lamb shawarma enclosed in a fluffy pita bread. Had salsa in it to balance it. Super fresh and felt healthy. Falafel was crunchy as well.

Grilled lamb pita and umame fries. Good burst of flavour enclosed in soft pita pocket with generous helpings (self-serve) of pickled gerkins.

Had a delicious falafel salad bowl there for lunch the other day. The Falafel was delicious! - nice and hot, slightly spiced which gave it an interesting depth of flavour, one of best falafel I’ve ever had to be honest! The greens accompanying were very fresh, combined with the hummus and wonderfully toasted pita bread on the side made for a very tasty combination that was nice and healthy but big on flavour! All that with a drink for just over $15 is excellent value The owner is a proper chef who also runs a seasonal fine dining restaurant so you know there’s plenty of care factor in what’s being served, give this place a try and see that a properly done vegetarian meal beats 2nd grade food court food any day.

Lomah really hits the lunch time spot! Food is not only delicious and freshly made but it makes you want to come back for more! The lamb is really good and the eggplant is great too! The service is quick and efficient and I think it is great value for money - all in all a 'must do'. :)

O.M.G. tried the lamb swarma on a whim and it blew me away! The pita was soft, the salad was fresh, the hommus was creamy, the yoghurt dressing was tart, the pickles were perfect, the lamb was juicy. Everything combined was the perfect mix of textures, ingredients and it was an explosion of flavours. So damn good. Definitely need to try out the rest of the menu, this beats a dry burger any day. Just enough to leave you deliciously full but not stuffed. Highly recommend!! 👍

I tried medium spice lamb plate come with rice. Service was ok 6/10. The food was good but the rice was little hard. Seems not kept in steam. Overall very nice food with yummy sauce, lamb was awesome.

I was walking through Melb Central to catch my tram when out of the corner of my eye I see a bowl filled with a smorgasbord of colour which tweaked my attention, curiosity and appetite. Turns out it was a salad bowl, but this was no ordinary run of the mill food court salad bowl. This bowl was filled with authentic Mediterranean flavours and ingredients that I call "real food" that is food without processed additives or ingredients that contain names like phenylephrine-a-tate (what feels like a rarity these days). After browsing the simple yet intuitive menu I chose a salad bowl with chicken and added hummus and pita out of a bevy of complimentary extras. When my bowl was ready the fun didn't end there, I was then given the option to add toppings like pesto oil, chilli powder and pickles. What I received in the end and in a timely fashion was a big old bowl of European nourishment that left me satisfied and googling flights to somewhere in the Mediterranean well done Lomah... my mouth went to Europe and didn't want to come back all for $14!
