Mezzo Grille

I liked the atmosphere and sitting outside listening to music was nice with a cool breeze and 77° at around 7pm. I wasn't impressed with the menu or the service. I had the Buffalo Chicken spring rolls, they were mushy, not very Buffalo, and the blue cheese dressing was not to my liking. I think it deserves another try though, ill update.

There is something about their steak seasoning.... pretty authentic. I am impressed with how well our table server took care of us. Politely asked us multiple times for any accommodations. Everything pretty organized, spacious and clean. This is a must try place if you have a meat appetite. Salads are traditional and small cocktails. Would love to see more details on their drink however overall great American cruising.

Had a great time at Mezzo's the other night! It was a good atmosphere and the music was awesome, it definitely felt nostalgic! Bartenders were great, very quick and the drinks they mixed were good! My usual blue Hawaiian, although a mild hassle to make, tasted great (I tend to be picky with them too)! I like the setup they have there. The DJ and the dancing all happens outdoors during warm weather. The late night pizza window hits different after a couple drinks! We didn't visit the upstairs that I was told was also there but I'm excited to check it out on the next visit.

Had a fun night out with my friend for her birthday. Mezzos is huge, very clean, they have an outdoor area, live music last night. Our server/ waitress , Amadea, went above and beyond with customer service. She was attentive to our needs, very kind, gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. As a person who hasn't gone out for 2 + years , I was anxious . Amadea helped ease the anxiety with her SUPERB service. I look forward to returning, and I will be recommending Mezzos to friends and family.

I came in tonight at 10:30 and was turned away at the door because the bouncer claimed that my ID was fake. When I asked for the bouncer to scan the ID, since I am 22 and have visited Mezzos before, he refused. I had three other forms of ID (college ID with DOB, vaccine card, photo of passport) and was still turned away. Friends of mine who were already inside tried to reason with him and he said that they were “picking and choosing” who they were letting in. This bouncer at mezzos was degrading, but also discriminatory. This bouncer was simply using his power to ruin other people’s night who had all of the proper credentials. I am absolutely furious and this business needs better management and regulation on ID scanning.

For a Wednesday night it wasn't very busy, except for the (shootout to) Paint Nite group that was putting on a great display of their skills. But we're not here to hear about, let talk about the food. The appetizer for prime rib Wednesday were the fried mozzarella. They were the perfect size. While I didn't find them all that flavorful, by no means were they bad. Having been here a few years back, I was hoping that I wasn't paying attention that day and will be blown away by something this day. The menu is more on the bar food side than fine dining or some unique plates. I thought I would start with one of my favorite stand by's in this case, fish & chips. If you can't get this right, what can you do! They did not disappoint here. The fish, which was haddock, was nice & flakey. The pumpkin ale batter added some nice flavor. The fries were cut in a wary I've never seen before. Nice touch with the fries. For me portion size was more than enough fish n fries. The prime rib, while it was enough to feed a small village, certainly could have benefited from the paint group in presentation. Cooked to order, bloody, it was described as "oh my God". Desert was a little anemic as for choices. Of the two options the lava cake won. It was fine enough. With vanilla ice cream it was rich as you'd expect. Did I mention there was about four people in here? (Not including the Paint Nite group) It probably took 20 minutes before placing an order. Now the food did come out at a good pace. That was great. But there was hardly any checking on for water or anything. If we didn't ask for things, nothing would happen. In fairness I'm not sure who was actually a server and who was there just to bus tables? If you're in a hurry you may want to think twice..... Blown away, maybe not but above all I really have no complaints. I guess I was expecting something that this place isn't. The food is worthy and are definitely on the more reasonably priced side! Would I go here again? Yes. I think i'm just unhappy with the lack of service?
