Mac's Bar-b-que & Catering

Had a great lunch here yesterday. A couple things to know, the line is slow. But, the bbq is good. I guess it goes as the saying “it pays to be patient”. The service was kind and friendly. The meats were tender and juicy, The peach cobbler perfect. I loved the decor both inside and out, creating a really cool oil industry/rugged atmosphere for eating and having fun with friends. The play area for both adults and kids was a great add. Too bad their bean bags were MIA for playing corn hole, but hey, we were there for the food primarily. :-) definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for some good bbq.

Service was horrible. The guy that cuts the meat was rude as hell. Brisket had great smoke flavor but was chewy. Fries were under cooked. Beverage cups are too small. For the quality of food the price was too high. I’ve eaten here in the past and was somewhat pleased. Something has changed. Won’t return. There’s better BBQ in midland than this junk.

Great venue and outstanding BBQ! Very friendly service and the best sweet tea in town. I had the pulled beef tacos; however sampled several different dishes from friends while there. Mac and cheese was also very good - turkey was juicy and delicious, despite other reviews I found it outstanding! I just loved the ambience- outdoor seating with corn hole and a stage for entertainment. There is also a large area for private events. Solid five star Texas BBQ!!

I would like to start with stating that the food was very good!! We had a pretty big order for my company dinner. It was scheduled for pick up at 9:30am. I showed up a little after 9am and did not leave until 10:30am. The staff were SUPER friendly but the atmosphere seemed very chaotic. We did not get our mac and cheese or corn bread but got green bean casserole and stuffing instead. We were not told of these changes and don't know if it was intentional or a mistake. Either way, again, the food was very good and the staff were very friendly amongst the chaos. I also had to wait for them to brew tea for our order. I feel that maybe our order was a little big and being this time of year I completely understand that they were super busy. All in all, we had a really nice dinner at my company.

Another wonderful night at Mac's BBQ. Great food wonderful service. Tyrone the bar back was as efficient as always. Evidently they lost their main bartender but the replacement was just as good as the one they lost. Had the brisket nachos. It's a little bit of heaven here on Earth. Absolutely delicious. Thursday night is steak night or family night. The vibe is very casual and very family oriented. As a single woman I feel very comfortable going here even by myself. There's a playground here for children and cornhole game set up. It's a truly great place to party without the quote unquote bar atmosphere. Absolutely highly recommend this place. Good food good service.
