Swallow East Restaurant

I used to get drinks and small plates at the location in Huntington next to the Paramount and was always a fan. I happened to be in Montauk for the weekend and popped into Salivar's for lunch (also highly reccommended) and was thrilled to realize that Swallow East was right next door. I came back later that evening for dinner and was definitely not let down. The menu is a little bit different than Huntington, I think it's actually better because it has a wider variety of things so everyone can find something. Everything was really tasty and the one substitution we requested (no cilantro on the fish tacos) was happily accommodated. The entire restaurant is nice, with views of the water all along one side, but the bar area is very stylish and really stands out - and if you like cocktails you'll be well served.

I loved the location in the harbor. Food was great and beer and wine selection was good. The small plates were not small at all so if you order the 3-4 plates per person that waitress said the chef recommends is way too much food. The live music is very loud, but the band was good. Service okay. Food came out very slow

Nice place to go with family and/or friends, especially since they specialize in tapas-style dishes. This way everyone can try different foods off the interesting and eclectic menu. The food was delicious and some of the items off the "small plate" menu was actually big enough portion for all 4 of us to give more than just a taste. Would recommend and return.

My husband and I booked our rehearsal dinner at Swallow and had a wonderful experience! The reason we booked here was because I actually used to be a waitress at this restaurant and I have very fond memories of working here, and I know the food is great. My husband and I also love the ambiance of the venue itself. It's rustic nautical theme fit the theme of our wedding and we love the entire decor. The space was big enough for our guests, and the tapas style "small plates" menu is just a fun way to try different things. We selected 7 courses ahead of time and everything was fabulous! The staff was great and everything went so smooth. I feel they definitely deserve the best review and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Montauk and wanting to eat down by the Docks! We love this place!!!!!
