Chris' Hot Dogs

The food was delicious. The only thing that I wish could have been a little better was the temperature of the hot dogs. Maybe after they were prepared, they could have heated them in a microwave for 12 to 15 seconds like I have to do at home. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. I loved the retro look of the place. Actually carried me back a few years. Also I was very impressed with the prices. Very good value for the price. Very nice place to check out.

Highlight of my trip to Montgomery. Classic diner type atmosphere, but the owners, Mrs. E (who's been there 44 years) and her daughter were all amazing personalities and storytellers adding a dimension to the food that transcends the price or offering. You'll be hard pressed to find it anywhere in the US, let alone Montgomery. The food is good. They haven't been in business for over a century for no reason but the ambiance and fellowship experience is what sets them apart from countless other restaurants. It's living history. History in the making. Many a famous person has eaten here and sat in the seat your sitting in.

Would definitely recommend! It was a neat local place to try while on vacation. The food was good and enjoyed trying something new and local to the area. Staff was friendly and so was the owner. Reasonable prices. I realize the restaurant is older but it could use a deep cleaning and updating. It was definitely clean enough to eat there or I wouldn't have but it needs a deep clean gone through, many booths were ripped or springs not supportive anymore. With a little TLC could be a 5 for sure...so I would rate 4.5 and would say I would visit again.

Absolutely amazing!!! Our waitress was the sweetest lady and she has been there for 44 years!! All the staff was so friendly and sweet!! When we parked we were trying to figure out the app for the meter but a gentleman that works there came out and paid it for us! Then as we were leaving the cook gave us a hank williams calender and talked about some of the history!! The food was phenomenal!!! We can't wait to go back again!!!

It’s really an awesome atmosphere. And everyday after 2pm they give out homeless hotdogs. With a bag of chips and a cold soda. It’s really great to know there is someone in the community who is willing to do some outreach work and help they’re community. Plus the hotdogs are amazing! Especially when you get them the famous way!

We randomly found this place on a side trip to Montgomery. What a find!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The place has charm, character and history. The food was amazing (coming from coney eating Detroiters) our server was friendly and the owner told us some of the best stories. After spending 10 days in beautiful Destin and NOLA, Chris’s hot dogs will remain one of the highlights of my trip
