Definitely make reservations here! Most people there had bookings and I was very lucky to get a seat for two. Place is cute and small. Service is amazing and the food is great. Did the four course meal and was overall quite pleased. Remember to bring your own wine! Budget a little under $60 per person. Highly recommended :)

Had a great dining experience here! We chose this place because they had the "bring your own wine" option which is always a good idea. Food and service were great, we ended up going with the prix fixe. I probably wouldn't get the foie gras again however, but everything else was delicious. Highly recommended this place!

Very nice spot, and very calm and almost cosy on weekdays for lunch. Great food that varies with time, there's no way you can't find something you'll like, especially with fish or meats. Quite affordable for what you get, the staff is very knowledgeable and will take great care of you. BYOB makes this even better. Had an excellent time there, will definitely return. Oh, and dessert is worth it.

Really nice lunch menu with great food and excellent service. Very good quality in all dishes at every visit. This is a BYOB restaurant so you can have an amazing lunch or dinner for an affordable price. Nice ambience in a quiet neighbourhood. Recommended!

I was looking for a classy French restaurant at an affordable price for a very special occasion, when I came across Quartier General. Most restaurants charge an exorbitant price for wine, which makes this restaurant "competitive", as you can bring your own bottle. Street parking is available, if you manage to find one, and luckily we did. I was told that one can buy a $10 parking from the convenience store just opposite the restaurant. From the outside perimeter it was not obvious that it was a restaurant, nor was the look appealing. Inside was quite a different matter, sophisticated, nicely decorated and emitting a warm and fuzzy feeling. We went for their $15 option to get a soup/salad and dessert. Well worth it. Different options and combinations you can choose from. Most of us started with a cold soup of beets and carrots, quite unique in taste, but lacks a bit of depth and consistency. Starters we ordered were: Tataki de Thon, Tartare de bœuf and Foie gras. Tuna was bland, a wee bit more cooked than I was expecting. For the beef tartare, I prefer the one I prepare at home. Foie gras was delicious. Overall, great starters, but nothing exceptional. Main course we ordered were Porcelet de Gaspor, Lieu Noir d'Icelande and Lapin de St. Tite. Porcelet was very tender and juicy, and was served with barley or perhaps overcooked risotto which was not particularly a good match. Lieu noir is an Iceland or Norwegian fish, quite particular in taste, and firm in texture compared to other fish of white flesh. OK, but not great. I have not tasted rabbit for decades, and had a chance to sample a large bite. It was out of this world, and exceptionally tasty. It came on a bed of a mixture of vegetables and mini sized fried pasta, perfectly seasoned which sends nothing but harmony to the taste buds. Desserts were Churros, Marquise (chocolate cake), Cheese cake. Each of them were delicious. Overall food presentation was a feast for the eyes and settled well with our red Amarone Valpolicella and white Chevalier La Noe (BYOB of course). Although we were provided with cloth napkins, a cloth would have been nice on our table. Service was exceptional, always present, but not intrusive, from start to finish.

Excellent service and great value. I have to agree with some reviewers' opinion of some dishes lacking flavour. I had duck as main and found the dish a little bland. So was the steak my son had. Beautiful presentation and tasty dessert. Lemon curd was fabulous.

An exquisite French restaurant in Montreal. The menu is on the chalkboard and the waitress provided a detailed explanation of every item on the menu (very impressive). The place is small and the tables are tightly arranged, so when it is full (always), it could be loud, but people are enjoying themselves. I think there were 3 persons on the waitstaff and they were doing just fine taking care of the customers. If people are looking for rushed service or take-out (see other reviews), this is not that place. For the meal, we began with calamari carbonara and ris de veau. The tentacles were excellent but the body was a little rubbery. Calamari is finicky that way. The ris de veau was absolutely perfect. For mains we had the stuffed rabbit and the duck breast. The rabbit was moist and had a nice flavor. The duck was delicious as well. Another reviewer said the duck was near raw. Our server specifically asked me how I wanted it cooked, so it was done exactly the way I requested. For dessert we ordered chocolate marquis and traditional creme brulee. The chocolate was rich and the mousse smooth and silky. The creme brulee was one of the best I have had in the world. I love BYOW places. I'm never disappointed with my selection and I don't have to guess or over pay for house lists. If traveling from another country, bring your own from home as Quebec seems to have some restrictive rules on wine and liquor.

Very nice service & good food. We arrived on a cold rainy spring Monday. The servers' warm welcome thawed the freezing rain. Food is good. The parfait fois gras was fantastic.
