I regularly buy beans and coffees here, they have a great selection of lighter roasts. My favorite coffee is Irish Cream Latte and is the only coffee drink I'll have that has anything but coffee and milk in it. It has just the right amount of sweetness to intensify coffee taste (and I never drink sweet coffees!). I've tried several items from the food menu and can't complain. The staff is very friendly and they always have great music playing.

I bought their Kenya light roast beans and they're pretty good (brewing in a chemex). Pretty acidic with a pleasant body and slightly floral taste. I love that they will sell you a quarter pound of beans (for when I run out and am waiting on a shipment from another roaster). 😀 I had a very bitter machiatto that I suspect was not pulled well. 🫤 I wish they were open later on weekends! Red Rock Cafe will have lines out the door at 3pm on a Sunday and they are closed. 🤔 They accept credit cards. Reviews that say cash only are out of date.

The best espresso on Castro Street at the best price! Awesome selection of espresso drinks too: they have the standards, plus flavored drinks like a Mexican Mocha. Not the most fancy digs, I like the review that described it as "more hippie than hipster" (it's a compliment). Very roomy inside but there's no seating as of Feb 2022 - about 4 good-sized tables outside, with sun umbrellas. They sell a variety of freshly roasted (light or medium) coffee beans - you choose the amount, so you can try a small amount if you want, I've been getting half a pound at a time. Ground to your desired coarseness, or whole bean. The older woman who works there seems a bit unpleasant/angry. Updated: the espresso/macchiato are perfect. Iced Americano is very light, almost floral (?), not bitter. The Mexican Mocha is a bit too sweet so I'll probably stick with the plainer drinks, it still tasted good though. I also liked the Banana Mocha, also pretty sweet but I can always ask for less sweet.

Fantastic little cafe near busy Castro street. Very helpful and friendly staff. Have a tasty caffeinated beverage without the hustle n bustle of the usual Silicon Valley vibe- this cafe is much more relaxed and isn't glossed over with the sort of pretentious feeling you get at other cafes. Very down to earth place to grab a hand made cup of Joe.
