Shalimar Restaurant, Mohammad Ali Road is one of the best places for Mughalai, Arabic food. Although they have a long menu with Chinese, pizza,juices and other items available. Most popular dishes are mutton raan tandoori , kepsa, kebabs & biryani are delicious to indulge for non vegetarian food lovers.

It's iconic place to visit among the food eatery of Mumbai. We tried Paya Soup mild spicy and great taste, hot & sour soup was also great. Tried platter and each variety of tandoori was awesome. The mutton biryani was great to be tasted along with mutton gravy and naan. The atmosphere was good with whole lots of different sections and arrangements.

What pleasantly surprised me was the accompaniments – they served it with green chutney and schezwan sauce, and a generous garnish of crispy onions on top. i just absolutely love this place … their food is literally heavenly… i was longing to have their biryani and kebabs…. it is always pretty crowded too but we got a seat immediately…. there is huge seating area also although it may seem a bit compact…. i didnt find the falooda that great which is also apparently very wellknown… it is also an expensive place but worth the money

This is one of the best places in Mumbai for Mughlai food. It also has all the cuisines available. The food is delicious here and Paya soup, Raan biryani, Chicken Tikka biryani, Tandoori and Rose falooda are a must try. Seating is ample but there is always waiting on weekends. Absolutely recommended...
