Good place good ambiance...did not experiment much with food so can't comment...had gone there for drinks...cocktails menu had quite a few options besides the regular choices...sadly they didn't have available any of the whiskey we wanted from their menu so had to drink a whiskey of their choice instead

The great experience starts with the welcoming staff. Go for the seating at 1st floor. Menu is very elaborate and mixes contemporary with popular stuffs as well. The food is rightly priced, tastes light and yummy. Jerk chicken is very popular and worth a try. Overall, a very cosy and delightful experience.

Was browsing through Zomato Gold when the name of this place popped up. We were like four guys and just wanted to have a couple of Beers after work. When we stepped into this place we were taken aback by the serene and quite ambience. We were no specifically inclined at that time for such an ambience so had to move out. But the place definitely looked something where you can have a really long discussion with being interrupted by anything

The ambiance is nice with a casual setup downstairs and a bar upstairs. The service is courteous. We ordered Garlic Bread and loved the way it was made differently served along with a cheese dip. They had a different drinks menu for Zomato Gold members and we enjoyed our cocktail. The only glitch is they charge VAT and service charge extra apart from the CGST and SGST.

“The Benedict Bistro and Bar” is hailed as the New York City Cafe right here in Mumbai! True to its words, the ambiance, decor and the food transported us to the City that never sleeps. Located in Bandra, this bistro has a 17-page menu which boasts of various appetizers, breakfast eats, mains, desserts and drinks! Impressed with the ambiance, we started our foodscapade by trying their drinks menu. For drinks, we ordered the Classic Moscow Mule which is a vodka based drink with ginger and lime extracts and a Whiskey Sour which is basically whiskey, orange juice and lime soda. The drinks looked good and were really refreshing. After having the drinks we started off with food by ordering Nachos which were prepared in-house, served with fresh guacamole, beans and sour cream, garnished with cheddar cheese. We were very happy with the presentation of the dish and more than thrilled with the taste, which was quite evident when the food was gone in a matter of two minutes! Next on our table came the Four Cheese Grilled Sandwich which was basically a regular grilled cheese, made with brown bread served with a tangy tomato dip and a side of fresh salad leaves. They looked good, but nothing extraordinary in terms of taste. Although the cheese pull was heavenly. Would rather recommend trying some other dish instead. We also tried the heavenly Philly Steak Sandwich which was a sandwich filled with juicy steak, tomatoes and caramelized onions. The sandwich was really delicious, the filling was sufficient, the meat was cooked correctly and the sauces added a really good taste to the sandwich. And finally, no prizes for guessing the dessert as it was obviously the New York Style Cheesecake which was served with berry compote. The cheesecake was fluffy and melted in our mouths as we rushed to finish it and went so very well with the berries! Our wait staff was great and made sure we were having a good time! Overall we were very happy with our experience, however, we did seem to find it a tad bit overpriced. But then again, it’s not every day we get to eat in New York right! We’d definitely recommend checking it out. Don’t forget to use your Zomato Gold while you are there to get 2+2 on your drinks 😉 FOODSCAPADES RATES: 8/10

Benedict Bistro & Bar - Previously it used to be It Happened in New York. Nothing has changed. The Decor remains the same. Just some additions in the dishes. It's always a good place to Unwind with some amazing Music, Some great Classic cocktails and good food. Most of you may have visited It Happed in New York - not going much into details, let's get down to what we had: Started with - Whiskey Sour, classic Cocktail, perfect combination of Whiskey/lemon juice/sugar and egg white. Since this place is all about Benedict, can call this drink Boston sour. Nicely done. To Pair this we asked for - BAGEL (they have 2 types Naked/Signature) we called for Signature which has White and black sesame. Freshly baked. Dairy product with Cream cheese. Loved the texture- tasted subtle. Served with Home salad - Greens/Cherry tomato and sweet lime with a light dressing. Full marks. Lived up to the reputation. Avo Tostada (Bar Nibbles) must try a small dish which was amazing. Homemade Flat crunchy Corn Tortilla topped with guacamole / salsa / jalapeño and English cheddar. Had the Subtle flavour from the guacamole/sweet tangy taste of the salsa/Hit of the Jalapeno and sharpness of the Cheddar. Overall liked it. Balance was good. Pretzel with In-house dips - freshly made Soft pretzel. Served with 3 types of dips. Speciality. (Bar Nibbles) Cheese dip had s good texture tasted sharp. Pesto, can't go wrong - perfect and the BBQ sauce dip - has that smoky touch to it. Overall happy with this new dish in the menu. Cocktail - Old fashioned (Classic) made well by Sandeep. Muddling sugar with bitters than adding whiskey with orange wheel as a garnish. Loved it. MEAT BALLS - classic dish (star dish of the day) Classic chicken (minced) balls aromatic at the same time full of herbs but subtle in flavour balanced perfectly with Tangy Arrabiata sauce, loved the combination. Fantastic flavour. (wine/rosemary/sugar/red pepper/black pepper/Italian seasoning/garlic/lemon) overall a very balanced spicy/tangy sauce. A bit of parmesan added in the sauce and used as a garnish over the meat Balls. This is a MUST TRY dish. (Option of beef meat balls available) NEW YORK SLICE PIZZA - just one slice (12") this is what New York is all about. Tried the Philly cheese steak slice. Crust was made well. Sheen was amazing. American cheddar was sharp. A strip of steak pepper onion was a good combination. Bell pepper and onions as well. Served with homemade salad (greens, cherry tomato, and sweet lime) lovely idea. Classic Martini - made to perfection. Asked for Dirty and dirty it was. Mains - Lamb Ragu, so French. Subtle in flavour. Loved the Roasted almond, elevated the dish. Basically it is a slow cooked lamb French style stew with caramelised pilaf. The fat of the lamb is discarded and it's boneless. Ragu sauce is all about balance of Onion/garlic/pancetta/carrot/herbs. Since it was prepared in French style flavours were subtle. Pilaf had a very lovely texture. Overall a nice main to try. Good quantity. Tiger Prawns - This came in shell (something different) Flamed grilled tiger prawn, this was served with Bell pepper Caulis (gave a good punch to the prawn) Served with French Fries/Asparagus/Broccoli/bell pepper. To enhance the flavour just squeeze some lemon. Nice texture. Desserts: New York Cheese Cake - a must at this place. Compressed. New York Style. Smooth texture soft. Crust was good. Overall fantastic, berries made a difference. Try it out. Mr. Daniels Cocoa pot de cream - JD all the way. You get a hit. Its JD flavoured chocolate with white mousse (soft) served with almost biscotti. Overall - Loved the new dishes in the menu. We In fact called the new dishes. Do try this place. A couple of minor flaws (lamb in the lamb ragu being over - a couple of pieces) even the steak in the pizza (fine tuning required) apart from this - smooth sailing. Go for it. Cheers
