Sri Ananda Bhavan

Was fresh and good food. Bit pricey though compared to nearby Indian restaurants. Customer service was great and cleanliness was top-notch! 1 star less because we didn't like Chole batura as it was not fluffy and was fried little bit more making it hard instead of soft! Since we were hungry..we just ate it!! It's true that we should never order north indian food in south indian restaurants and vice versa!! Provided feedback about the idily that it was half cooked and they took in positive way and was also compensated by not charging for the take away sweets we purchased. That is rare because other Indian restaurants just ignore with your feedback and be rude! Recommended for those who want to tey vegetarian and fresh food.

Moved in the area and was looking good South Indian food , tried the food, it’s good , had breakfast there , dined in , good to book if you are planning to eat in , tried their south thali, channa bhattura, kids chocolate dosa , few other items Went with extended family We all were satisfied, tummy was happy , will visit again for either dine in or take away

After a long lockdown, my mum and I decided to have lunch at Ananda Bhavan. We ordered two Thali meals and they were amazing! For a moment we felt like we were back home. The authenticity of the food was amazing. To top it off, the staff were extremely friendly and even Vinoth came in to check on very one- making sure all their needs were catered to. Mum and I will definitely be back and hopefully bring along some of our friends and family. If you would like quantity for your food, please give this restaurant a try! You won't regret it 😊

It was a celebratory occasion for us and choose to celebrate with Indian food and this place was recommended by one of our friend. We were 7 of us including kids. Everything was spot on and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. Yes, you can start saying this could have been better, that could have been better, but all items were better comparatively with other restaurants and mind you this is South Indain tamilnadu style and can vary with what you have been used to. Some wow items - kalyana sapad, gobi manchurian, pineapple kesari bath, all dosa item, dhai papdi chat, tomato chutney, and of course filter coffee... Thank you Sri Ananda Bhavan for making our day... Definitely returning back for the Kalyana Sapad :-)

Just had a delicious vegetarian meal. Ordered the Ananda Bhavan Kalyana Sappadu. It was a variety of small dishes that where all packed with flavour. I was quiet surprised how filling and delicious a vegetarian meal could be. There was also a couple of deserts in the mix which really topped off the meal. For under $20 it's also great value. The staff where very friendly and the food was quiet quick once ordered. Definitely a hidden gem of the area!!

Visited this restaurant pretty much 4 years ago when it was newly opened before moving interstate & did left my feedback for providing us a good quality food with great service. Back to Melbourne again , thought should check it out this place again. I would say Gary & his team amazed me with the food options they got now & with same good quality food. Especially, Victorian hospitality industry had a tough time during Pandemic but seems like this restaurant doing good job in the community throughout the covid & I believe that’s the reason they are still there with the same passion which they had 4 years ago for their food & for their communities around them.. 👍👍
