Kokos Plant Based Ice Cream

BEST. ICE. CREAM. EVER. PERIOD! Being DF in the ice cream world is hard; you always feel like an inconvenience! BUT NOT HERE!! We were blown away by Kaitlyn's intentional desire to give us the best experience possible! She walked us through all the flavors and was a joy to work with! No joke, we ordered two rounds of ice cream because it was that good! (You'll understand, once you try it!) We are visiting from Colorado, and would fly back to Nashville, just for this ice cream! Thanks Kailtyn and KOKOS for making our ice cream dreams come true!!

We dropped in on an incredibly hot day. I got the mint matcha (pictured) and, honestly, it's the best vegan ice cream I've ever had; so creamy that I'd never guess it's dairy-free. Also, it was excellent ice cream, plant-based or not. Definitely do yourself a favor and stop in during the summer because the pavilion here is so fun. It's got a beach volleyball setup and a bar next door. You really can't go wrong. I felt like I was in a Top Gun movie (if they ate vegan ice cream in Top Gun). Also, there's plenty of street parking available on surrounding streets. I believe it's free for up to two hours.

Best ice cream quality and flavors in Nashville 🙌🏼 It's vegan and nut-free but it tastes and feels like real ice cream! Sam and his wife run the business and Sam went above and beyond to make us feel looked after. The flavors were out of this world, the samples were generous, and the ice cream was so fresh and delicious. My partner is lactose intolerant so this place was PERFECT for him. We ended up going here 3 times in 2 days. His employee Kateland was a gem as well and she took great care of us when Sam was done his shift. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Nashville! One of my best friends celebrated her Birthday tonight at Shakespeare in the Park, before the play started one of my other friends and I walked around and decided to get ice cream at KoKo’s. My friend had eaten there before, but I had never heard of it. And as in ice cream lover, I didn’t have high hopes for vegan ice cream. I imagined it being icey in texture and not very flavorful. Well, this place proved me wrong! The ice cream was delicious, light, and creamy. It didn’t taste vegan. The aesthetic of the place was very cute. It gave me West Coast vibes! The girl at the register was very sweet as well. I hope to definitely visit KoKo’s again!

What a wonderful hidden gem. I promise this will be one of the best non-dairy ice creams you've ever had. They keep their selection limited with a rotating mix of seasonal and classic options - which I think is a BIG indicator of good quality. The staff I've met have all been lovely as well! The inside is small and often packed (sometimes with long lines). But the decorating inside is very very cute, so you won't mind the wait. AND you'll have no trouble finding a seat outside. All I can say is I'm not lactose intolerant or vegan and I still think this is the best ice cream in the city 🤷‍♀️ go here!

Best vegan ice cream and gluten free waffle cone I have had. I have been dairy free for several years and it is hard to find creamy vegan ice cream. They use chlorophyll to make the mint chocolate chip green, so no artificial colors. The chocolate was really good, too. Very friendly staff. Said they change favors often. The shop is part of a complex that includes a bar and a couple of sand volleyball courts, so a really fun space with lots of seating. Will definitely go back when I’m in Nashville.
