Picnic Restaurant

We sat down at 6:15 pm. Our food came promptly, it wasn't hot it was warm and dry, almost like jerky. After we finished, I asked our server when she was clearing our table, when was the chicken prepared? She responded the last chickens are done at 4pm. No I won't return. I had been there in the past and was pleased not the case this time. Service wasn't bad.

Good evening, Here I am, disappointed on my way home, after a completely AWFUL DINNER. BEWARE PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT COME HERE. This used to be one of the best restaurants in town, but now I can’t even call it restaurant (new owners). Once I walked in, I knew something was off, every table was empty, i should have known. The food was completely cold (we were the only ones in the dining room on a Saturday night), and had no flavor to it. I wouldn’t mind paying $80 for this, if it was somewhat good. STAY AWAY And go to another churrasqueria. Thanks

First time here in like 5 years (Sunday). I used to love their food so much. They updated the look of the place and it looks pretty nice. Service was good. The bread with butter was the best of the whole meal. I ordered half grill chicken with salad and my husband half picaña with rice and frieds. The chicken was ok and the steak/picaña was not cook as medium rare but more like well done, that was the downfall of the whole meal but at least the flavor was there. The chocolate cake was really good.

Had a great experience there yesterday dining along with my dear sister prior to going out afterwards to go bakery and window shopping around the Ferry St. area. She hadn't been there in a while to eat so she picked this place again for a quick bite. Great atmosphere, place is tastefully decorated and a VERY awesome and VERY attentive staff there. Along with the great tasty salmon with some rice and black beans that I had, it was nothing but YUM!!!YUM!!! Wanted some more but unfortunately we were on the run after enjoying our meal. Major Props, Honor & Respect to Picnic Seafood Grill and the working staff there. A definite repeat customer for sure can't wait till next time. Thank You.

This used to be a good place with consistent food ... I heard they have a new owner.. and the place looks a little nicer but the rice is different all the time sometimes is cooked sometimes is not, the chicken and ribs sometimes they are warm sometimes they are not. When i asked one of the owners why .. Her answer was that sometimes they are slow on weekdays... but i didn't get why was my food cold for the third time in less than a month. I've been coming here for 20 years and my kids grew up thinking that the best bbq chicken in ironbound hands down was the one from picnic and McWhorter bbq. I guess McWhorter bbq is the only one now... if anyone, any owner is reading this please 🙏 do something about it. Dont ignore this..
