Ono Grinds Poke

The best poke bowl place in NJ! Fresh Coast has a wide variety of options for their bowls and always manages to be filling and satisfying. I’ve tried many other poke places, but Fresh Coast keeps me coming back. They also have a wide selection of delicious fruit and veggie based drinks/acai bowls. In one instance where an order didn’t meet my expectations the owner, Scott, made sure to make things right which I very much appreciated. The workers are very attentive and helpful as well. Will definitely keep coming back!

I got a blended chunkie, no where near smooth as you see in the picture. It's not the blender technician fault. The equipment she was provided wasn't good at all...apparently. Then, I notice something that would violate city health codes!!!! I am no expert but..... NONE OF THE WORKERS DEALING WITH FOOD HAD HAIRNETS, GLOVES OR A MASK. I know how you all feel about masks, but how would you feel, if your order was being prepared and the worker was talking over your food?!?!? 🤮🤮🤮 As a customer, I am urging this location to do better. Owners or managers, check the tape if you think I am not giving proper criticism. Have a better day and be well.

Absolutely LOVED the food here!! Wow! Delicious!! Our group had a variety of foods from the menu between us all and not one thing was shy of fantastic! The quality of each ingredient was very good and the portions were perfect. The combination of flavors was well thought out. If you wanted to alter the original recipe at all, the staff asks you, and you can change the ingredients to your taste. The owner was there and we talked with him, and he was so kind and pleasant. A lovely and tasty experience for our first time in Newark, and all of us in our group decided without a doubt that, should we be back in the area, we would come back to this exact restaurant to eat over and over again!! Thank you FRESH COAST!

Just terrible. I have strict dietary needs so I gave this place multiple chances. The first time I ordered from here, it was a simple delivery order and they didn’t notice my instructions to take out a certain ingredient - which led the employee on the phone to say expletives. Had to wait for a second delivery and wasn’t offered a refund. The second time I ordered, along with a few friends, we placed orders an hour in advance. The employee had a lot of side convos on the phone. By the time we get there, they say they’re “finishing up” when they clearly didn’t even start. Once we get home to eat, it took about 30 minutes to figure out which bowl was whose since they messed up our ingredients. Toppings we paid extra for weren’t even included. On top of this, the salmon tasted like it had been sitting out at room temperature for hours. Hard pass.
