Every time I visit the hospital I have a very great experience. I had my child there, the nurses and the doctor who attended to me were very courteous. The Doctor Who did my epidural was wonderful also. Continue doing a great job guys.

My 11 month old baby is sick and I first went to Clara Maass Hospital where I had a bad experience due to misdiagnosing of doctor. I then came here to Beth Israel and I love it, our nurse Bernardo is the best he is so sweet and hard working. He is very caring and super professional. He started IV for my baby and he did not cry, not even one tear, did not even react, he has great hands. Will recommend 100% this place and will continue to come here. Will also forever talk about the great experience with Bernardo, he is the BEST. thank you!!

So my my mother went there last Thursday because she was not feeling well at all. Mind you my mother is Post-Stem cell recipient. They left her in the ER department for 14 hours. They drew blood and left some of the samples in a bag of ice until the ice melted and fell on the floor, they never gave her results of any labs, or the x-ray she took. They gave her a bed pan that they didn’t empty, no call button to ask for help. She could barely talk because she lost her voice No one talked to me until I showed up and and got upset. My mother was very upset and, the staff was unprofessional, the side convos and the cussing like you’re at a bar and not at work, is a no no. The ER dept needs a major overhaul, and new management, very disappointed in how they treated my mother especially in her condition. Disgusting.

The 4 stars are solely due to the one RN who I believe did her job better than anyone else I came across in the hospital, RN SHARI WALDRON. The care taken to actually listen and empathy was the key, in understanding I am a father who was very worried about my daughter who went in for a procedure and I didn't get any feedback for close to three hours ( which seemed like 8) as to, did the procedure go well or was she out of recovery. If I was not standing by the entrance of the operating room when a nurse wheeled her out, instead of being in an empty waiting room, I would have never known the procedure was complete. Once my Daughter was placed in the holding areas for observation. RN SHARI WALDRON heard my concerns on not being sent any updates on my daughters outcome and did her very best to get me some information on my concerns. A hospital more than a business should be filled to the brim with empathetic workers, our loved ones are in pain or other and we depend solely on the staff to do what RN SHARI WALDRON did exceptionally well. I hope her management commends her on a job well done, management usually gets so caught up in the numbers they forget the workers who are keeping them in business by going the extra mile, or just focusing on the negative reviews, GREAT JOB SHARI WALDRON on giving an exceptional customer experience and putting this father's concerns to rest.

My Brother is currently a patient there on 2D and I have made several attempts to reach this Nursing Unit. I let the phone ring for 15 minutes and unsuccessful . Therefore , I hung up and called back asking to speak with Patient Relations and was informed they no longer have this available. So who is advocating for the Patients and Families? So I took it a step further and reached out to the operator and she made several attempts and still no answer. How can I trust they are taking good care of my love one when they don't even answer the phone. This is extremely disturbing and upsetting to me.

I am 28 weeks preferably and I have been sitting here for 2 1/2 hours waiting to get an ultrasound done. This is absolutely unacceptable and they need to not schedule so many appointments if they are not able to keep up as it is unreasonable and absolutely unacceptable to have a patient sit and wait for that of time just to wait and not even be seen yet. If i could give a zero star rating i would.

If I could put zero stars I would. This hospital is horrible when it comes to the treatment of disabled people. My grandmother gets treated like trash b/c she is paralyzed on the left side & can’t communicate well due to a stroke. She will lay in her body fluids b/c no one wants to change her. They don’t feed her b/c she’s on a purée diet. They don’t check on her every two hours as they should b/c of her condition. I have to stay at this hospital around the clock to make sure my grandmother is taken care of. I have spoken to so many charge nurses, unit managers & nursing directors. Nothing changes & it’s ridiculous! At this point I’m going to start reporting this hospital, calling the board of health, and any other organization that can investigate this hospital. All this money they are using to upgrade this hospital needs to be invested in proper leadership and staff training. The staff is horrendous! Not polite, courteous, or compassionate whatsoever! The patient advocate is a joke! They don't advocate for the patient at all, it's like speaking to deaf ears. They don't resolve or get anything changed. HIPAA IS VIOLATED ON THE REGULAR! They just give out her information and let anyone besides the POA SIGN FOR SURGICAL PROCEDURES!

I would like to highly commend Dr Wendy L Cervi, Dr Dave, Anes Christy and the entire surgical team for doing a remarkable job with me last week. I went and saw Dr Cervi on June 1st and three weeks later I went under the knife. From the get-go she was very professional, empathetic and prioritize my case. She ensured that my wishes were granted and I left beyond satisfied and thankful. The whole team were amazing and I would like to say a huge thank you to them all for all the hours they put in during my surgery. I am forever grateful for them. To RN Grace and Angela and CNA Akuuvi all of 4B thank you so very much for making my 2days stay there a pleasant one .To anyone who provided me with care the day of my surgery, thank you so much and last but certainly not the least to Miss Gabriela Disla and Miss Veronica of financial services and to Beth Israel hosp, a colossal thank you for giving me the financial support and freedom for my surgery and for being a wonderful blessing to me. I couldn't have done it without you all.I truly appreciate the post op phone call from a case worker to check on me yesterday. God bless you all for changing my life. Sylvia kwako -sintim .
