Fat Hippo Jesmond

Visited with my family earlier this evening. Seated quickly, served fairly quickly too, some colouring for little one to do whilst waiting which was a nice touch. Front of house staff were friendly. The burgers????? WOW(compliments to the chef) highly recommend Fat Hippo. Glad we live hours away because i think it would fast become a favourite place for us. Thank you for the hospitality

Who doesn't love a good burger! Great flavour packed into a HUGE burger. I went with the great white buffalo and it was so good. When I say these are huge, they are mammoth!! Defo need to find a way of dislocating my jaw to fit the bites! Great value for money Service was amazing, our server Phoebe was lovely. Super friendly and helpful

Went in at 6 to inquire about a table was advised we could be booked in for 7pm the same evening service was outstanding server phoebe fantastic from the moment my husband and I sat down very smiley and happy to answer any questions we had 😊 asked phoebe if they had a fat hippo in Glasgow as from Glasgow ourselves within seconds she had said yes!! Couldn't fault her or her colleagues if i could give 10 stars I would definitely will deffo be back on my next visit to Newcastle!!!! ☺️ also very very reasonable priced had the monsta burger absolutely 100% best burger I've ever had x

Enquired about a table for 2 was booked in for an hour later @7pm, excellent service, very friendly, welcoming staff with outstanding service, our server phoebe was very friendly, attentive and was happy to answer any questions we had, we enquired if there was a fat Hippo in Glasgow as we are from there and immediately phoebe and Co-workers informed us that there was 😁, we had such an amazing dining experience and will highly recommend Fat Hippo, we will definitely be back next time we are in Newcastle 😁😁.

Had the most lovely valentines meal with my partner here tonight They’re amazing for catering for celiac in which we both are Allowed me to take some of my food home as I have a gastric sleeve so can’t eat a lot in one go Very big portions and decent price super tasty Lovely gluten free brioche buns and lots of filling on the burgers, unlike some restaurants that use gluten free buns that you could smash a window with Partner also enjoyed the gluten free chocolate brownie Customer service was lovely too all really jolly upbeat and helpful Will be back again!
