Caffe Nero

This is an incredible place. Delicious coffee, food and great friendly service from a fabulous team, the staff are always friendly, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Big shout out to all the Nero Baristas and management. I am a regular at this wonderful cafe. Without fail the food, service and coffee are excellent. come here every day without fail. I’ve lost count of how often they have gone the extra mile for me, truly is a great chilled atmosphere, with chilled music. Extensive range of quality coffees, teas, and hot chocolates as well as great tasting food for breakfast and delicious lunches, brunches, and snack. There really is something for everyone at a great price and there has been considerable thought put into their menu. As a Jesmond resident of 8 years having tried every coffee shop in the area, Café Nero Jesmond Acorn Road still by far delivers the most unbelievable and best tasting coffee in the area. Always a speciality coffee on offer, this month was of superior quality, Columbia. Large comfy and cosy seating area and with a new offering of brand-new super-duper comfortable seating which I am loving, perfect for settling in with a great book and a bite to eat. Rarely crowded I’ve always found a seat. Happy, positive vibe at Nero Jesmond always! Perks too, 10 stamps for a free coffee and bring your own cup for double stamps! This means frequent free drinks, lovely! Also scan your app for further perks (connect your Waitrose card for 25% off specialty drinks every time). Outdoor seating too, perfect for a spot of people watching on any day of the week. Perfect for dog lovers and dog owners, dog friendly! You can bring your pooch and expect them to be pampered, the team always provide a free doggy treat on request. Highly recommend a visit, 10/10, you won’t be disappointed! Huge thank you to the team

Service for coffees is fairly decent. They clearly don't have enough staff though, as there are very often, empty cups lying around. I don't blame the staff here, I'm guessing this is usually the case with these chains. Quite often tables (if there are ever any spare) are full of trays with empties. They've recently brought in signs which ensure if you are there more than an hour you are to buy another drink. The place is often FULL of students. I've popped my head in and walked away often because students are taking up all the tables with laptops etc. Disappointing. I will stress though that the manner of the staff is very good.

It would be perfect if it was not filled with students banging on laptops keyboards. The front hall is normally fine, but the last empty table was taken by a single gentleman, so I had to go to their back room, where I found 4 individuals with tense faces all typing something at their respective tables. There was an empty table so I took it, but it was just miserable. I wish I took my coffee out 🙄
