The Real Greek - Newcastle

Make sure you're very hungry as the fabulous food comes in really big portions. We had fava and spicy feta dip as starters which came with flatbread and crudites. Can't fault it - tasted wonderful. Main course was sausage skewer and chicken skewer with aegean slaw and chips. Again couldn't fault it. If we hadn't had a voucher we would have skipped dessert as we were feeling full but glad we didn't. We chose baklava and greek orange cake which were delicious. Staff were so friendly and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back.

Me and my friend came here as we fancied a change from our usual restaurants and we loved the Greek restaurants when we were on holiday, there’s not a lot of Greek restaurants around Newcastle that I would rate so highly, but here is really second to none. The restaurant itself is beautifully set out, and we were welcomed efficiently and warmly. The service was brilliant and the food and drinks arrived promptly, not to mention they were so tasty. We got the souvlaki chicken wrap and the chicken skewers and a side of new potatoes, they were devoured in about 10 minutes. Normally we don’t get a dessert when we go out but this time we fancied a change, we went for the orange cake and icecream which was amazing and I’d personally recommend this is if you came. I can’t wait to come back in the near future and pass on my recommendation for this restaurant. Thank you!

We tried their set menu. Went in without much expectation. But really the starters just wowed us. Their pita bread with the spreads were worth every penny. Lucious , soft , flavorful it’s a bomb deal for £12. Even the mains were really good . A generous portion of rice , a nice side salad , 2 different dipping sauces and the skewers all were really good. We really enjoyed the meal and would definitely recommend their set menu.

Really lovely attentive staff, nice atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The food was amazing, which came to our table in no time at all, it was surprisingly great value too! We both had the Souvlaki chicken wrap with tzatziki with a side of delicious halloumi fries which I would definitely recommend to anyone. They were coated in a lovely glaze of lemon and thyme infused honey. Will definitely be coming back to venture through more of the menu!
