LOVED this place. If we were staying in Newcastle long term this would definitely be a regular cafe for us. Owner was ridiculously friendly and accomodating, and it was noticeable how the locals really liked coming here too. Quirky and cosy decor.
Both food and drinks were delicious and perfectly portioned.
Açai bowls are a must-try when you visit.
I also got the tropical smoothie (which tasted like a boost juice!) and it was such a good start to my morning 👍

Very welcoming place with great service. But the food and drinks exceeded! My wife and I ordered the heart best and sacred spice smoothie. The drinks were amazing to say the least. Lastly, we ordered the salmon stack, and veggie stack. These were both incredibly nice. Was such a fresh morning meal to have. Must try place if your visiting in the area for breakfast.

Great spot hidden away. Some of the best coffee and food I've had in Newcastle for a long time. The staff are super friendly and with the new renovation the place looks amazing!

With genuinely friendly staff, tasty food, awesome acai bowls and an artistic beachy design, Akuna is my favourite cafe in Newcastle!

My partner was very pleased with their ACAI bowl which was presented beautifully.
The vegan macadamia slice was ok, but a little overpowering on the peanut front.
Lateé was presented in a simple but wonderful fashion.
Aesthetically pleasing.

Moroccan Eggs like you've never had them before! Cappucino that makes your mouth buzz and stomach sing for joy! To get a seat you need to book as this place is so popular. 6 stars!!
