The Nags Head

I’ve been here a few times with my dad now who has Alzheimer’s, both times I’ve let them know ahead of time and they’ve been happy to accommodate my request of being tucked away in a corner. The service has always been exemplary and the staff take their time and understand it isn’t always easy. The food has been great each time, especially the puddings which went down a treat. This will definitely be my go to place for our dinners together so thank you for making it that little bit easier 🥰

We had a wake after a funeral and Clive and the staff put on a lovely selection of food, just enough for the guests that were attending. Left peacefully despite the pub serving lunch you'd never know from our little space separately behind the main bar. Respectful amd well staffed and of course its nice on occasions like this that myself and the persons who's funeral it was were remembered by Clive the owner and it all felt sombre, respectful and sincere (a strange thing to say You might think, however, my point is having eaten Christmas dinner here with my father-in-law. Many, many times and Eaten meals In the evening and at lunch... its Safe to say whatever it the occasion they will accommodate you)

Great service was surprisingly very busy but were seated in a quieter part of the pub , which was very nice. Nice choice of menu, didn't really have to wait long but told as its busy maybe a wait ,not at all. Food was excellent ,one of the best steak and ale pies ive had in ages, great veg and nice new potatoes.
