Tandoor India

For one the food is completely over priced!!! I drive an hour away usually to go to this place and every time I go it’s an issue with my order. The owner has a terrible attitude and doesn’t care about the customers. For better pricing and better customer services do yourself a favor and take the trip to Edison off oak tree road where the food there is very authentic and prices are excellent. Within one square mile there is literally 10-20 different restaurants to choose from. This place is taking advantage of people who aren’t aware. I was there last night 2-18-22 and I told the owner I was going to leave a bad review and his response was “ oh well go ahead”. I did request all my money back as I waited almost an hour in the dining room because the lady gave my order to doordash but mind you I called 45mins prior of ordering my food before the hour wait after I got there. I’m an avid Indian food eater and will definitely not go here ever again. $16.99 for a tiny small plastic container of lentils is absurd!! Stop wasting your hard earned money!! The food is not all that for the price you are paying I promise you.The only reason why my wife and I did come here is because we live in Howell and Edison is a bit of a hike for us but most definitely will be taking the hike for now on!!

I have had food here a few times. It’s a hit and miss place, have had good food at times, sometimes not so good. It’s overpriced though compared to Indian restaurants in Edison. I mostly find vegetarian dishes better than non-vegetarian dishes here. I eat here occasionally only because it’s close to me and no other Indian restaurants in the area.

Food was overly priced. Food was below the standard of any other typical Indian restaurants. The decoration and ambiance was very poor. Resturant looked almost dirty. Bathroom which used by guest was not clean so you can imagine how the kitchen must be looking. I would not dine here again. Pretty bad.

This is the best Indian food in New Jersey, it is labeled as Indian vegan experiment on Uber but the actual restaurant is called tandoor India and is in the strip mall off of Route 35 before Wegmans with the Japanese restaurant called takara. Very fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes were very good, food was ready at the exact time that they said it would be. Looking forward to getting more meals here.

Stopped after a day at belmar beach before a long drive back home. We were hoping for some good Indian food but what was served was average at best. We ordered Malai kofta which wasn't cooked properly and we asked for it to be prepared again and after waiting for some time , we couldn't find much difference from the first time, which was disappointing
